Dan John has spent his life with one foot in the world of lifting and throwing, and the other foot in academia. An All-American discus thrower, Dan has also competed at the highest levels of Olympic lifting, Highland Games and the Weight Pentathlon, an event in which he holds the American record.
Dan spends his work life blending weekly workshops and lectures with full-time writing, and is also an online religious studies instructor for Columbia College of Missouri. As a Fulbright Scholar, he toured the Middle East exploring the foundations of religious education systems. Dan is also a Senior Lecturer for St Mary’s University, Twickenham, London.
His books, on weightlifting, include Intervention, Never Let Go, Mass Made Simple and Easy Strength, written with Pavel Tsatsouline as well as From Dad, To Grad. He and Josh Hillis co-authored “Fat Loss Happens on Monday.”
In 2015, Dan wrote Can You Go? on his approach to assessments and basic training. In addition, Before We Go, another compilation akin to Never Let Go became an Amazon Bestseller.
In early 2017, Dan’s book, Now What?, his approach to Performance and dealing with “life,” became a Bestseller on Amazon. Hardstyle Kettlebell Challenge became available in September 2017, too.

15 reps for a 10min EMOM, starts the sweating. My grip starts to go on the last few rounds when I get near that 15th rep

Depends on the weight, single or double handed, hard or soft style, accompanying exercises, how much time you have, if anyone else wants to use the kettlebells, temperature and humidity and what you hope to accomplish.

Another question as well, sir, I do the aforementioned workout daily and alternatively add a dumbbell routine one day and another kettlebell routine the other day. The kettlebell routine consists of uneven weights of 18k and 14k. It's a double kettlebell routine of 2 sets of 10 kettlebell cleans, presses and squats. A slight modification to the armour complex. Is this recommended or am I taxing the system too much?

Hello sir, I currently do 100 double hand swings of 24k kettlebell with 50 sets of 2, followed by single handed swings of 20 per side of 2 sets. And 6 TGUs per side of 18k. I want to understand whether the swings I'm doing recommended? Following some other coaches, most recommended to do 10 swings with 10 sets, rather than 50 swings of 2 sets. Can you please guide which is better.
