Still a few copies left of the Limited Twilight Edition of my new album "Urban Dreams":
kebu.bandcamp.com
The regular version of "Urban Dreams" is also available on other music platforms and stores:
zyxdance.lnk.to/UrbanDreams
“Fleeting Lights” is a celebration of power ballads and soft rock beats from the eighties - essentially music that surrounded and influenced me when he was young. Let's for a moment pretend that the world never moved away from the eighties aesthetics! :D
Like my previous official releases, I've recorded it using analog synths only - the very same synths that are also featured in the music video:
Roland Jupiter 6, Juno-60, Alpha Juno 1 & 2, JX-8P, TR-808; Korg Poly-61, Korg Polysix; Oberheim Xpander, Matrix 1000; Alesis Andromeda A6; Hypersynth Xenophone; Jomox AirBase99; Marion ProSynth, Sequential Circuits Six-Trak.
"Fleeting Lights" composed and performed by Kebu / Sebastian Teir
Lights: Sebastian "Baba" Sjöblom
Camera: Mika Knuutila
Audio mastering: Vadim Kulin
Editing and background videos: Sebastian Teir
Published by Backstage Promotion Veranstaltungs- und Verlags- GmbH / 41065 Musikverlag

Back in the early days I used to love waiting for a new Jean Michel Jarre album to be released. Not so now as there is just nothing memorable anymore. I don't get those goosebumps like I used to. I'm so glad we have Kebu to take his place. Hello goosebumps again, thank you so much :-)

I like it very much. Listened to it twice in a row actually. Love how it builds from pure chill. Then it builds up and we get some pleasant rhythmic notes..eases off again back to pure chill with no beats for a bit then bring them back again. Its always nice to hear someone's own composition especially when it's actually enjoyable music.

What am amazing uplifting track, I can lose myself in this heavenly music, It evokes emotion & just shows that Synth is just as good now as back in the glorious electronic synth of the eighties. So many influences spring to mind but I hear Vangelis, Jarre & Greenslade. I`m so pleased to have found another synth Genius & moves me to tears with their music. Thankyou....My respects.

Love this, Kebu. When I cast my mind back to the synth sound I remember from the 80's, it has everything that special about the time but in a way that has it distilled to its essence! Ie. it's better than the old stuff somehow! Loved the visuals as well. Very 2001AD if anyone remembers that. Thank you.

OK so I heard it now, and what can I say? I am very glad Kebu is fully embracing the 1980's aesthetic. Much as I love the Synthwave genre, Kebu's music has something that was present in 1980's music and culture that many modern re-interpretations miss: optimism.
@paulgrooveside2803
@paulgrooveside2803 2 жыл бұрын
You're so right. Kebu's positivity is part of his nature and personality. He's a lovely person to know and a unique musician: in these days where 'darkness' and 'seriousness' are too common, Kebu is a bright light of optimism. May he shine brightly!!

@@i-never-look-at-replies-lol as Telantas said, people tend to overlook the optimism of the time. The music of the 80s was mostly colourful and positive! ... Although my own band did record a song in 1981 about people in an airliner flying through a beautiful sky as the bombs fell and the world died around them.....
@jean-louispech4921
@jean-louispech4921 2 жыл бұрын
@@i-never-look-at-replies-lol look at OMD "enola gay" dark lyrics about hiroshima's bombing , but joyful music even "two tribes" from FGTH is about the cold war, but the music gives a lot of positive energy. The global spirit was about optimism, it was an era of rising freedoms since the end of the 60's, there was a real progressive feeling ( it is excluding wokes for example ) among major artists, even if there was a potential nuclear war on theory it was an era of feeling the progress without feeling any regression (unlike last decades). This is why peoples were optimists. Well in an era of fear and uncertainty, it is difficult to understand the mindset of the peoples in the beginning of the 80's. In the 80's nuclear bombing was just theoric, there was nothing that can be compared to the 9/11/2001 , or other slaughters made by terrorists in western countries. In addition with Gorbatchev at the head of the USSR there was less tensions, he was more cool than his predecessors in the 80's.
