It’s obvious he will always regret not getting the Focal because every time he sees the Kef he’ll think “it’s not blue” and THAT is what you’re paying for! The Aesthetically pleasing match to your decor.

Bad advice for the guy cause they missing out the diablos are 10k EACH , i dont know where this guy have acces to that prices but you dont really wanna miss the diablos at 10. 12k used was the cheaper i found them in hifishark but they are all already sold… so yeah, he probably gonna regret and maybe miss out on the offer of other guy take it.

The Focals are $10K EACH... But I'd probably go with the KEFs too. Look into getting them vinyl wrapped if the color still bothers you down the line

Thank you ! What I was trying to say with the R3, is that i tried both the Reference1 and R3, I would floored by the sound of the reference 1 but I was in love with the blue finish on the R3. That lead me on a search for other more colorful speakers and focal seems to be alot of people's "end game" speakers hence the comparison. Thank you for the advice. I went ahead and ordered the Reference 1 meta in white and gold. Planning to power it with an Denon A1h (have not bought) any thought ? my alternative is to go with seperates with the Marrantz amp/av 10 combo. Only problem with Denon and Marrantz is the Dirac, coming from Onkyo I hate the idea i need to buy an Onkyo reciever cost of Dirac. (rz50 900usd, denon dirac 700 usd) come on

This Guys are supposed to be audio experts? They just adviced him to get the kefs instantly just for rhe cause they saw they cost double the price… but this Guys ignored the fact that focals are 19k usd new the pair… so, hes getting 50% discount there too, and believe me , its not easy to find that price on the diablos, probably one or the best bookshels in the world. Theres a lot of reviews out there… so, for 10k i would cóndor diablos no doubt. Easier to get 10k equipment for 5k , not so easy to find 20k equipment for 10k.

Who said we're experts? We didn't. We're just dudes with an opinion like yourself. Someone asked for our opinion, and our opinion was offered. At the end of the day, the person has to decide for themselves what's right for them. I think Erin was going based on his measurements of the KEF's and previous experience measuring other Focals. I agree with you that if it's solely based on looks, I'm going Focal all day! - Joe

Cost $20K and worth $20K are 2 different things. @@santinonn
