Ken Loach is a national treasure but is more appreciated for his great talent and humanity in Europe than in the UK.

Yep. The Britpress and its smear campaigns have a lot to answer for. I've worked in various European film festivals and he is treated like a king.

Human empathy is being murdered in the present British society, thanks in a large part to Tory political austerity as the catalyst.

I have always loved Ken Loach’s work! It has always been full of humanity and caring, showing the cruelties that society can inflict when it isn’t caring and considered about those with less, in particular. His work has always been redolent of how much better we can be, yes, the tears but also the hope and the need for communality and understanding of others. Sad to say, but we probably won’t have anyone like Ken Loach again. Let’s hope that there’s another film maker who will step into the breach of the lack of social conscience and who can raise the issues that we need to face.

This is Ken Loach's work alright. Based in the social realism of the working class and the conflict and hope that comes from it. As a film it will be Ken's gift to some but an humanitarian education for all.

Ken has got this film spot on . My father was a holocaust survivor , while my mothers side are Irish . And they say lightning never strikes twice . I have always stated that we all need to fight for our class . Anything less , and we are divided . Having experienced racism because of both sides of my family , it is usually our own class who does this , but they are being informed by others who have a lot to lose should we all realize that THEY are the real cause for problems .

whoever made The Big Lie, that one might be able to see somewhere one day, has done it. Even if Ken Loach had made it it'd be banned in sneaky ways everywhere. There's not a whisper we'll ever see it in Oz. Its one of many subjects that are just unmentionable.

Ken Loach lives in his luxury million-pound house in Bath and would much rather the people of Britain suffer under the Tories than get the Labour Government they need, because it isn't exactly 100% the Labour his own egomania demands. Think about that: people are dying in Tory Britain, Loach even makes films about it, but he actively speaks out and works against the single means we have of stopping it: Labour. Some might call him a hypocrite and useful idiot, I'd call him a traitor to the people he claims to speak up for, but absolutely shafts instead.

Already seen what New Labour does. You too young to have heard of Blair? You haven't heard of Blair's descendant's demonization of Corbyn, the one good man Labour had. For years. If you get dentistry on the national health it is Corbyn alone you have to thank. Or are you a privateer?
