he'd make a great James Bond...Viva Ken Loach one of a very few directors who re-presents the working class with their dignity and humanity without patronizing them with 'comic bits' or reducing them to isolated psychological phenomena. Taking them from the margins to the centre. What Shakespeare is to King n Queens Loach is to those that do the work and produce the wealth.

Although I am for helping those in need, I do think it's much better and wiser to help people in their own countries. Not this way, masses of people fleeing, having to settle down elsewhere, etc... That's not a solution at all. And, for the poor population here there isn't any advantage at all welcoming these war refugies. States have to see to STOP THE STUPID WARS, or if they absolutely need to fight like children do at school, then not in towns, but in deserted places !! Civilians don't have anything to do with wars!! They want peace. Crazy.

Actually, there are great advantages in terms of revitalising the economies of small towns like the one showcased in the film, teaching people about other cultures, and creating a tolerant and open-minded world. Surely you can see that helping people within the confines of their 'own' country - which is phrasing that I dislike, having lived as an expat in multiple countries myself, and finding myself at home in their cultures despite them not being 'mine' - isn't possible when wars are raging?

@@TakeshiKanemoto Thanks for your comment to mine. Our life experiences are seemingly quite opposite. I will try and summarize what I meant above, in a more detailed and expansive way. Although, I can't write an essay here, I have to keep it quite short! I hope you understand. I grew up in very different countries on various continents, and later I worked and lived in other very different countries for many years, for various personal and other reasons. Not to say the least some places where highly politically dangerous, and under heavy dictatorships. I have lived and seen many different cultures. And, I wasn't an expat sent from a big company or ministry to work abroad. I had to do everything myself, and didn't come with a huge pack of money, not investing like others did either. One is much more welcome when one is backed up and protected by a company, or organisation, and has money. But it wasn't so for me. I had to do everything on my own, and had bare means, I was very young to middle aged later. It was extreemly stranious and hard. One gets to know a country and it's people inside out, though, that way. Most humans are the same everywhere when it comes to that subject ! I can't say it was fun or joyful, most of the time. Nobody, in no country at all, welcomed me open armed! Nobody, and no where were the people helpful like we are to the masses of immigrants who come to the 'West'. Nobody gave me housing, nor food, nor a job, no nothing to settle down faster or easier. Most of times, one isn't welcome, and the people and governments let you know!! Ok, I didn't come from war zones, but I had my share of difficulties and proper important reasons to have to change countries, and try and settle down where I would feel more at home. It didn't work out that way, eventhough I am highly sociable and kind, undisciminative at heart, I adapt very easily and I learned the multiple languages as fast as I could to get around, and be even very proficient. Nothing was organised for me, I had to deal with everything myself. I didn't move with a group of family nor friends, so I didn't have a network nor associations to help or back me up. Alone I really saw what humans are like, anywhere in the world. Not a nice picture, most of times. Alas, that's the hard reality. Living amoungst the locals, and unprotected, and having to work, wasn't a cup of tea. I can tell you first hand! And being a woman, one lives through those experiences very differently and much harder and more discrimative than a man. Afcourse it's interesting to exchange with others and so forth, within different countries and cultures. But, in the end, it's always the same story... Too long to go into, here. I don't idealize anymore. I have also worked a lot of years as a volonteer for immigrants in the 'West', as in various human (and animal) aid associations all over the world. From the East to Wesr, North and South of this planet. Things are very similar everywhere in the world... Alas. Besides those who really flee their home towns, a lot of others just come to the 'West' for personal gratifying reasons. Which often is in their imaginary. Laziness and for some undetected mental illnesses is also a big factor. Especially in men from Moslim countries. I can tell you first hand that a lot of populations come to Western countries because they think they can find an easy eldorado of fast wealth. Even without having to work !! That's a fact. It's always a question of money. One way or the other. And those people do NOT want to mingle nor understand or integrate themselves into their new country !! They want to stick to their traditions more radically than they would in their own countries. I can't go into social psychology, here. The film idealizes and wants to promote integration and exchanges between cultures. Which is quite equitable and an ideal scenario. But, it's not realistic at all. And small deserted towns should be re-populated by the country's own people, first. With 'own people ' I mean those educated and brought up in that country. This, for various practical and cultural reasons. One can afcourse try and put a group of foreigners there too, if they know how and want to go along with the country's rules and traditions. This is often a very delicate and difficult thing. As religion has a predominant factor to play here. Takeshi, I am very open minded and like helping others, which I do all the time, whenever needed. I think that every country should concentrate on their own people first, and avoid poverty. Wars shouldn't exist at all. It's human stupidity of wanting power and big money over human lives. Alas. And in that case, I think one shouldn't flee one's country but fight against the opressing powers. And move out of big cities. In every country, one can find a way to build a life outside big towns. Cultivate gardens, and do permaculture, be auto-sufficient to a maximum. And I encourage people to do so, anywhere ! Not to go to the other end of the world, unless it's a wish for discovery of other cultures! Which is not the goal of immigrants. Happiness is found next door! The subject of immigration is a vast one. But, I wish to have been helpful in my explanation. Have a good day.

The vast majority of migrants to UK are from countries the UK colonised by invasion or from gained revenue from weapon sales. You should talk to your local lawmaker
