I've seen him in interviews (he's now over 70). Getting type cast was a bummer. I think he's much better than that.

The guy trying to hit Roger’s hand with the hammer 🔨 is Scott Baio’s real-life brother Steven Baio. The set used for the high school here was used on “The Hogan Family” as Coldbath High, the school where Sandy Hogan worked and where the Hogan boys attended school, the actress that was the lady locked in the locker (Mrs. Shellenback), Kathryn Fuller, played the school secretary on “The Hogan Family” (Mrs. McGregor). Both shows were produced by Thomas L. Miller and Robert L. Boyett.

Yes, he was type cast. But that's precisely why he will live forever.
@mynameisnobody78406 жыл бұрын
Fun fact. When they rebooted leave it to beaver back in the eighties, Ken Osmand could only play his old character of Eddie hascal owned a construction company. That’s because Osmand owns one in real life, and so they worked it into the show. If you watch the new leave it to beaver you will see Osmand actually working at his business.
@mynameisnobody78406 жыл бұрын
Also ken Osmand and jerry mathers are actually friends in real life. As in big brother and little brother.
@billreynolds91074 жыл бұрын
Ken never owned a construction company his father was at one point a very skilled carpenter and prop maker. Ken went on to become a LAPD officer from 1970 to 1988 when he was shot multiple times and he decided to retire.
@mynameisnobody78404 жыл бұрын
Interesting i remember listening an interview about the reboot of leave it to beaver. According to the interview ken couldnt do the show, the writers later wrote it in the show where eddie owned his own busoness. At times they would filmed thenshow onsite. Idk what to tell you just going what they said at the time

You can actually see a bit of Jefferson D'Arcy brewing here in Roger Phillips. As much as he bumbled and was lazy in "Married With Children," he could have a dark side under adverse conditions. In one episode he made contact with someone who had a rocket launcher at his disposal. And in one episode he used his ties in the government to have someone shot.
@SiccDeville3 жыл бұрын
i wish they played the guessing game of shows that Eddie was on like they did with Roger when he was on Married with Children.

No comments on Ted McGinley?!? He’s in his early 20’s here. Ken Osmond is great, plays a great adult “Eddie Haskell”, even though he isn’t sweet talking June haha. Great episode and great portrayals by both. Ted would soon become another “Rog” in Revenge of the Nerds as the perfect jock. I’m young (36), but these were the days... Happy Days... (don’t fault me for the joke haha, if I didn’t someone else would). R.I.P. Ken Osmond, you changed television...
