Eddie Haskell tries to explain his life to a stunned psychiatrist through 18-minutes of highlights of his shenanigans covering three different decades of shows in this 82nd episode of the Leave it to Beaver revival series that debuted Nov. 13, 1988.
Inside Eddie Haskell was the last show of 1988 and the last remaining show filmed in California before production was moved to Florida. This latest of several recent clips shows featuring just about four minutes of new scenes - once again directed by Jerry Mathers (Ken Osmond is the only cast member in the new scenes -- Kipp Marcus missed most of final season due to attending NYU), is the seventh episode of the third and final season under the new title of The New Leave it to Beaver on Superstation TBS Network (fourth season overall) and featuring most of the original cast of Leave it to Beaver, including Jerry Mathers and Tony Dow - the first season of 26 commercial-free episodes when the series was called Still the Beaver was on The Disney Channel from November 1984 - December 1985.
These videos are taken from my Betamax VCR personal recordings of the show when it originally aired.
You can find the original Still the Beaver CBS TV reunion movie and all 26 episodes of the 1984-85 Still the Beaver TV series here at my KZfaq channel, as well as all prior to this from The New Leave it to Beaver, compilation videos, and more than a hundred other video clips of Leave it to Beaver cast members in other TV shows and movies... / shettrick

One good thing can be said about Eddie Haskell. Life was never boring for the Cleavers with him around.

Is it the same actor playing Eddie's father? I love that about this show. I wish they could have done a 2000s version while Eddie was still alive. The Osmond kids were great little actors.

Yes. George Petrie played Mr. Haskell in the original series and reprised his role again 25-30 years later for an episode called "Life Without Father".

Eddie and his father arguing is a perfect example of how a lot of baby boomers have come out and talked about how their families and home life being dysfunctional despite the good prosperous clean image and the '80s and '90s really reflected on how a lot of baby boomers finally felt like they could stand up to their parents.

Ken Osmond was the only one playing a character different from himself. That's why he's the best actor.

Also his sons Eric (Freddie) and Christian (Bomber). And just because they played characters closer to themselves doesn't mean the others aren't good actors who could play different characters if asked. But I agree that Ken and his sons were my favorite characters on the show, even though they took Eddie too far too often in the last two seasons. Freddie was probably my most favorite across all four seasons

Please can anyone tell me why Bomber is the only one at military school? We never got this in the UK. And why does Freddie call his dad sir all the while?

Eddie was my favorite character...& I am enjoying the flashbacks. The actor was the direct opposite of the character...& IN MY OPINION, did the best acting job . We have went through 3 generations watching Leave it to Beaver.

Scott Hettrick LOVE LOVE ❤️ LOVE ❤️ KEN& Eddie. . I respect the man he became & his values. That is SO RARE, now that we know some of what happens in the lives of REAL actors. I DID GET HIS BOOK & loved it. Much insight into both KEN & EDDIE! Thanks KEN ! You did great‼️

The things Eddie does are a complete reversal of what Steve Urkel does, but they have something in common in driving a family nuts.

This was one of my favorite episodes for two reasons: 1. It was all about Eddie( my fave character) 2. I loved all the clips from the original series! (4:08, 5:26, 6:13, 6:32, and 10:06)🥰🥰🥰

On the original show Eddie was a wiseguy but not a criminal. In the 80's show he went more and more to being a crook.

True, although he was a kid and teen in original series -- kids like that tend to move from pranks to bad behavior as adults. But you're right, his behavior as a kid was easier to swallow than some of the things he did as an adult

Yes, from 1983, starting with this TV reunion movie on CBS, then first season on Disney Channel 1984-85, then second-fourth seasons on TBS 1986-89. After the TV reunion movie pilot, there were 101 episodes of the TV series.

When they run out of ideas and money they do a clip show..

Well, there was also a writer's strike during this period - they had plenty of new ideas because they shot 19 more episodes a few months later in Florida and were anxious to do 26 more

They did a lot of clip shows, too many in my opinion.
@shettrick
@shettrick 4 жыл бұрын
@@someguy23475 I agree in general, although a couple of episodes that feel like clip shows, like the ones showing when young Ward and June met, and most of the flashbacks in episode when Wally is in hospital -- to young Ward helping Wally, and young adult Wally dating Mary Ellen, and teen Wally playing basketball -- are all pretty elaborately-produced new scenes. There's even in first season called Dear Pen Pal that feels like a clip show but it's all new footage. Even the Wrap Party episode is mostly interviews and party footage with a couple clips. The true clip shows I can think of were two this season (probably due to Writers strike in winter/spring 1988) - Inside Eddie Haskell and Family Scrapbook II, and in the third season, Dear Pen Pal II. But you're right that the last two seasons sure did feel like they really got away from traditional scripted episodes taking place in present-day
