The symptoms you mentioned regarding seme, follow-through, timing that you mentioned are all things I have sensed, but your analysis of my kamae and hip position makes so much sense. The gear is fantastic, I was wearing KS bogu during my grading and it is very comfortable, protective, and beautiful.

Wow, that's a first match was very tough opponent for a 3rd dan grading.

I wonder if his posture adjustments are similar to mine where trying to get the shoulders back and trying to look relaxed at the same time end up over compensating and making us look like we have inappropriate posture. At my age and too many years of computer usage, I am always fighting to keep the hunch out of my back and look relaxed.
