I took one of his one on one classes a few months ago, the 2nd to last now that he retired from classes. Best experience of my life, so cool to spend a week in his shop learning from Gill, Wes & Derick. I made the most beautiful knife, also got to meet his wife Linda, she had us over for dinner & drinks. We got to hang out, hear stories, see all of Gills knives that takes up 3 rooms.

Shalom Aleichem Gil, heard your name for over 55 years from a friend and once Sensei of yours and mine both. His name is Sterling Peacock and we're both on Ed Parker's Black Belt family tree under his name which makes us both second generation Black Belts under Ed Parker. Have had a couple of your knives and still do. I even know where the knives you made for Ed Parker are on this day and Ed Parker's real Black Belt. They are beautiful and well taken care of. I'm Sterling Peacock's highest rated BB, and he was a brutal man in and out of the ring. I respectfully say I knocked him out twice, the third time he said let's say we did and don't! His sense of humor. Sterling changed names long ago to Matt David and died with that name. I help him train over 240 Law Enforcement Officers in 40 years. Matt said he only promoted 12 BBs in his time. Sterling Peacock also was Jim Ronin Harrison's Black Belt before Jim died. Both me and Matt hold BBs from Jim. RIP Sensei's ✝️✡️🕎🇮🇱🇺🇲
