Thanks for doing the review! I have an IM 25 and I'm considering this light as well for my Lagoon! I'm thinking I'll have less shadowing from a single fixture and it will also future proof me for my eventual larger 4-5' shallow reef! A lot of people complained about it but honestly I'm pretty sure I can run one of these for the 4 foot tank and with 5-6' just add one more 360x and Klink cable it to your main AP9X. Most people don't show lights like this on Nanos so I'm into it!

Thanks for the comment!! Glad you got the chance to check out the video! I originally had a plan in mind to use this light on my future frag tank so it was perfect to grab it at the price I did! I love it though on my lagoon truly did! Be happy to have that light running again in the office soon! Thanks for stopping by!

@@kingtidecorals i have a 29 gallon with ten gallon refug. Its way to much for mine to but when i buy my own house i can always go bigger like i want to. I might have to ask u for more help later today setting it up.

That is a tough decision! I still have this light up and running on my frag tank and I still love it! Would love to try the sky some time!

Loved the video and it was very helpful! Thank you for making it. I just set up 2 ap9x’s on my Waterbox 5526. Can you please tell me how your corals did with that schedule? Was 70% intensity at 1300 too much Par? Overall, were you pleased with that mentioned schedule over a period of time? Thank you!

I may just do one!! I appreciate your feedback and asking me! I think I really like it, what’s really nice is knowing I have a light even for an upgrade! I don’t run it near the capacity it can run and I love it, and think the corals do too!

Nice light dude thinking about getting a kessel 360 for my biocube! Do you have fresh water aquariums as well or just salt? Saw you have a aqarium coop shirt on reason I asked lol

Hey Scott! I rocked the AP9X while was north in Seattle the time the lagoon was up and I really liked it! A lot! I’m saving it for a hopeful bigger build here soon, but I really enjoyed it, good color and growth. Overall recommend, what size system would it be for?

How far off the water did you mount the light

At this point at time I had my light mounted 14” above the water line!

Is the light nit adjustable for all that light spill? Thinking of getting it as well and a little worried about that height and spill after seeing it on your tank.

It has a decent amount of spill because of the size tank I’m running it on. Depends what size tank you’re thinking of to put it on! Also I’m sure you can divert the light in a way but I don’t mind the spill. Getting all areas of the system lit up

I just bought one of these for my 90 gallon mixed reed, I wanted two but they are super expensive m, right now I’m running two black boxes on my tank, do you think 1 will be enough? The only sps I have are monti caps, and what height would you suggest mounting it at to get that 48” spread that I need?

Based on the videos I've been seeing and kessils official page they say mounting at 15 inch for one ap9x fixture to cover 4 feet (48") And again supplement as needed but frankly I feel like these lights seem great and should cover that full range. Most people can't run them at full intensity without burning things anyway. So when in doubt crank them and raise them higher. Also the depth of the tank matters

King Tide Corals Had to see that bad boy in action... I got (2) primes over my lagoon for a while now... I like them... but I’m thinking of switching it up... That Kessil looked clean!

King Tide Corals It definitely does with the way it looked. I was really thinking the hydra 32 or reef brites. I have never used kessil but now... 🤔 you got me thinking. Lol

Heatwave Reefer will say I love AI’s app but with time I’ll get this Kessil one figured out! May do an update video in the future
