A typical reaction of a trained kestrel to the sight of a Cooper’s hawk. No screaming, no tail-thumping, no movement. Just squeezing down as small and being still as possible until the threat passes.
I thought it was a perched kite while I was filming, but when it flushed after the video, I saw it was a Cooper’s. She knew all along.
