I just picked one of these up at Costco for $130. Brew’s fantastic coffee. For those wondering how the Costco “Special Edition” differs from the Supreme Plus sold everywhere else? From what I can see there are three differences: 1) The color difference of the backsplash. On the Costco Special Edition model it’s a grey or blue/grey color. This works perfectly for me as my cabinets are painted a similar grey. 2) The strength setting (and this is a real “perk” for the Costco Special Edition model): The Costco S.E. Model has the same “5” strength settings (from Balanced to Intense) as does the top of the line newer Supreme Plus “Smart” model. The regular Supreme Plus (sold everywhere but Costco) has only 3 strength settings. This is a big deal in my opinion as it allows me to brew an 8 ounce cup that is bold and strong when using the 5th strength setting. 3) Temperature settings: The Costco S.E. Model has the same 6 temperature settings as does the Supreme Plus Smart versus the 3 temperature settings of the Supreme Plus machine sold everywhere except Costco. So, bottom line: The Costco special edition Supreme Plus is everything the Supreme Plus is…..and….it also inherits a couple of key features from the newer Supreme Plus Smart machine (ie 5 Strength and Temperature settings). This is a great value at $130 in my opinion.

@@jgz919 It's a bargain. I use it everyday it makes my life so much easier. I used a French press for like 3 years and it took like 20 minutes to make my 1 cup

I bought this version from Costco for $139. I love everything about it EXCEPT the gray back splash. It gets splattered with coffee every morning and looks messy. I wish it were black. Since it only brews a max 12 oz cup, I don’t really see the need for the extended space between the base and the brew spout, it just makes for a long way for the hot brewed coffee to cool and splatter on the trip down to the coffee cup below. That said, at max settings, this model makes a good strong cup of hot coffee and I like the the removable reservoir .

Valid point. What I do is place the cup off center so there's less splash. I personally like the grey since it looks a bit more inviting. But yes other than that it's amazing

I have the Supreme bought for 119 at Target as well as this one, $139 at Costco, no comparison, sturdy and quiet.

They're both fantastic I can't even lie, but this one looks a lot more premium and the larger reservoir really comes in handy. I've been meaning to make a comparison between the 2 lol, I've reviewed both on my channel separately, but haven't put them both in 1 video

Have 2 at different locations. On my 4th one, most lasted about 3 years. Always pump failure. My first one had a clock and believe altitude adjustment. KEURIG K-Supreme Plus brew coffee faster with reduced start up time. Will get another one for work away from home.

Interesting. Hopefully they have improved with the newer iterations. Have you cleaned it with the de-calcifier regularly? That could be a big contributor as to the pump failing. Sounds like you were using other models. I do love how fast these start brewing. Cannot beat the value and overall experience at this price I will be making videos soon showing how to do maintenance

@@Striker50_ The old model (Keurig Fil K-Elite C) descale seldom comes on. The newer model KEURIG K-Supreme Plus C looked the same but different electronics (the one before this one shown) comes on much more often. I did descale but not religiously. I got my money out of it for 3 years with 3-4 cups a day by not going to Starbucks.

I have now replaced this for a THIRD time this last one blew up steam both previous ones were about 4 months old so…they could only be replaced not returned

Interesting, sounds very abnormal. Small amounts of steam can come out as the water is essentially reaching a boiling point. Did you purchase it at Costco? You can also contact Keurig and they can determine if it is a particular batch that is faulty

I bought one yesterday at Costco, set it up and this morning, when brewing a cup of coffee, it only produced 8 ounces I had programmed it through the memory for 12 ounces. You didn’t cover any troubleshooting on your video but perhaps you could help me. Thank you

I like mine very much, but I don't use the filter. One reason is because my drinking water is already filtered through my LG refrigerator, filters I diligently change every 6 months or so. Secondly, the little bean-bag type carbon filters from Keurig add a nasty taste to the hot water/coffee that passes through the machine. When I first got my Keurig K-Supreme Plus I soaked the filter, rinsed it (per instructions)... but was grossed out by the awful taste after brewing the first cup. I dumped the water, soaked and re-rinsed the filter, same issue on cup #2. So I thought "why do I even need this filter? my water is already filtered" and threw the bean-bag in the trash. Coffee tastes great now, as it should. Besides the taste of the water that gets passed through (or beneath!) this filter, the way it's implemented is goofy. The flat side of the little bean-bag just lightly sits over the port that your water passes into the machine through. Water never really goes all the way through the thickness of the filter; it just seeps beneath it. Kind of a dumb design.

I'm sure there's a process to it but good take on the water already being filtered. Maybe it's because a lot of people use tap water. I'm going to try it without the filter. Maybe they also include the filter because of hard water being a thing so it reduces the likelihood of calcification and the machine clogging up quicker for the average person

I want to get four reusable K-Cups for my K-Supreme Plus machine - two for decaf and two for regular. If I buy Keurig reusable K-Cups they are approx $11/ea, but aftermarket ones are cheaper. Can you recommend aftermarket reusable K-Cups that work well in the K-Supreme Plus machine?

Usually the ones sold at Walmart work just as well as the keureg brand if not better. Just get on that has a O-ring for a tight seal.

Have the K-Supreme Plus and after the first descale; the unit will not power on. It seems like there is an ongoing issue with this unit. It worked fine for a while and the descale light came on. I kept using the brewer with the descale light on because we have whole house filtered water I decided to purchase the Keurig Descale kit and followed all directions but unit just shut off and will not come back on. It seems that is an internal thermal reset switch that once pushed will allow the unit to brew again but it is tough to get into. We paid $189 for ours without all the extras. Costco's $99 price with extras is incredible.

Interesting, how long have you had yours? I'm going to be making a descale video soon so I will be looking into that. Have you tried lifting, and then closing the the lid? I have noticed sometimes, that works to wake it up from it's sleep. Of course if it's an electronic issue then that's a bummer

@@Striker50_ I understand that this is a big issue. I should have read more reviews before ordering. I am now waiting for delivery. I was so alarmed by this that I decided to call Keurig and the representative insisted that the shut down happens because people aren’t following instructions correctly. One person has put out a video with instructions on how to get the machine operational when it shuts down. Essentially you need to take the machine apart and use a paperclip to push a button on the heating element and will automatically reset. No thank you! It’s too much trouble and expose yourself to breaking parts not to mention that you’ll probably void the warranty. I can only hope that the machine doesn’t become the lemon that so many people have painted it to be.

Continuing here……..the unit restarted. You need to take the machine apart in order to push a reset button. No thank you. Hi. With regards to that plastic pod that k pods are placed into... there's a needle at the bottom and it has a clear covering on it. I'm wondering if that's a piece of plastic that should be removed prior to use? Or is that a piece of silicone? It's visible at the 11:30 time stamp. Thanks!

Amazing attention to detail and thank you immensely for the time stamp! It is a silicone piece that assures a secure seal at the bottom of the K-cup for when it pours into your mug. Not to be removed

@@Striker50_oh no! I’ve had such bad luck with coffee machines, I tell you, we are jinxed. My brother bought us an expensive Tim Horton’s machine 15 years ago, finally had to replace it, leaked all over, then a nice Keurig from our kids, again eventually leaked, replaced it with another Keurig, a large one, my son and dil paid over 360 /cdn $$, piece broke in it, no one would fix or give us a part for it, and now this little Keurig, we got for $130 cnd $$, at Costco, so fingers crossed that it lasts longer than our latest expensive one; however if it breaks, it’s only a small amount. So sick of replacing them. This is the “last” one for sure. I’ll pitch it and will never buy Keurig again, I promise. Also bought a Ninja one as someone highly recommended it but it wouldn’t fit under my cupboards. So much for that one…

You just fill the my k-cup with whatever ground coffee that you want. Rinse it with hot water after dumping the brewed grounds into the waste bin and it's ready to use again.

Yes for the saved options, if just popping in a pod regular with no saved button selected, it defaults to the factory temp and strength I'll be making a video soon comparing this with the more simple K Supreme and try to point out that difference 👍

so it's the same - just with 2 extra temp & strength settings which might end up the same maxed out as the other Keurig. So why change to this new machine.

It depends which machine you are comparing it to. If you are comparing it to the supreme then yes some of those features are correct. In addition you have different materials for the build quality with metal accents so it looks more premium, and you have a larger water reservoir which is convenient as well. As for the temperature settings I actually got a heat gun and I will be doing a comparison with the temperature differences on the settings so that will be cool in a future video

I wonder why yours looks different with the temp/strength. Clearly 5 levels each where mine is 3. My box from Costco says 5. Jeeeeez. I can't win!

Not sure what to tell you. Perhaps it may be the region you live in. The website also lists 5 temperature settings and 5 strength settings. Feel free to contact Keurig directly and they should send you a replacement@@karunald

@@Striker50_ Strangest thing. Box looked factory sealed/pristine. Had 2 year old model in it. All numbers matched the box etc. They found another box from a different area - we had to open it up and there it was. Even plugged it in. Everyone needs to keep an eye on this. And yes this one gets way hotter.

@@rjs9006 ok, I ask because some have a descale button. This exact model does not. I do not have the owner manual with me, but there should be a way to factory reset the machine by holding some buttons down usually. That can possibly be a starting point
