I wanna give a shout out to Kevin Hart for recognizing true talent and putting low riders in the light everyone judges us just because we have low riders assuming we’re criminals but we’re good people. I hate being judged by my cover just cause we have tattoos and ride custom cars doesn’t mean we’re bad people we got good hearts thanks for this documentary. This is a culture and a lifestyle this is not a sport.

Big D, Darryl Koonce, & Kenny Stewart, Doc”, aka Dr Graphic, my kustom paint mentors, taught me EVERYTHING I know in the 1980’s.. R.I.P. brothers!!! My big brothers, Red & P.D. an OG Professional low rider club member got me a job, custom painting for Big D’s, TNT Kustom paints in 1986. As an 11 year old kid, my brothers Took me to low rider car shows, in the 1970’s.. I finished B/F class in Seattle, came back to Los Angeles, started working for Big D, & learning from “Doc” when Big D was on 82nd & San Pedro, on the Eastside of Los Angeles, where I got my custom skills.. I remember when Cartoon was making his name.. He’s the man now!! Hey Toons, you still doing it big dude.. Great work homes!!!

The low rider clubs have some of the most incredible looking cars there is. The creative paint work is amazing. When a guy says he did it in his back yard, and you see the beautiful result, it is hard to imagine it can turn out like it does.

Lowrider guys are awesome. It isn't really my style, and I doubt you'd ever see one in my driveway, but I just love checking them out at car shows. The attention to detail, especially in the paint, is top notch. These days with so many people vinyl wrapping their cars, people like Mister Cartoon are keeping the old traditions alive.

Aircraft landing gear was the resolution to the problem. Airplanes have hydraulic landing gear. The first hydraulic setup on a car was put together from old WWII landing gear. I love everything about this.
