'I'd rather fight Lennox Lewis once a month than fight Mike Tyson once a year.' - Frank Bruno, 1990.
@SonnyK2484 жыл бұрын
In 1990 Lewis was still a baby boxing wise. He only turned pro in 89 and was still going through the motions fighting low ranked guys working his way up. He's a year older than Tyson but Tyson was so young starting out that he'd already peaked and lost all his belts before Lewis even turned pro. His time was over by the time Lewis had worked his way into the title scene.

As a kid who grew up during Tyson, I don’t think people will ever realize how huge of a spectacle Tyson fights were. The pay per view receipts were huge. The talk was around towns was huge. Even people who didn’t like sports or boxing knew Mike Tyson. And Mike himself? He was terrifying. He was larger than life. He’s on the same plane as Michael Jordan and Jerry rice. The greatest to practice his craft.

Mike tyson also said ali,s defense is not that good but his fight instinct is really good, its not just muscle memory and he cant beat that. Honestly though i find tyson is a better fighter but if it is in 1 v 1 as long as ali can fly and tired tyson he can win. But if tyson can connect his attacks then it maybe over for ali. Ali might not be a good match up to tyson though. Tyson is fast and he is good at counter strike and death hooks as well as uppercut but ali is faster then tyson and alsi his got taller legs so he can dodge faster. Thats just my opinion. I met Tyson at a barber shop here in Las Vegas on the west side about a year ago. When he walked in, it was like a lion or a pitbull had just walked through the door. No one knew what to say or what to do. We all just kinda sat there nervously waiting to see what he was going to do. He had his head down and humbly went to each person and shook their hand and introduced himself. I can tell you from first hand experience that he definitely has a presence that commands your attention and respect. Even when he shook my hand I could feel how solid and strong he was.

@@BobJones-ud4rt lol. The influence and Love of michael jackson exceeds anyone from the past 2000 years. Not even Ghandi had the influence Michael Jackson had. Michael Jackson is loved and listened to in pretty much every country that has access to music. The historical figures that have had this world wide influence is very very very few. Jesus is one of the only ones that come to mind. Inventions dont really count because more often then not. Those were one and done inventions and the inventor never reaches those heights again. MJ coasted those heights for 20+ years.

Ghengis khan is one of Tyson's objects of fascination,just that alone should clear it all up. Tyson is turned on by absolute power,absolute domination,absolute submissiveness of the other. Mike has always pretty blunt about him glorifying rulers and conquerers and he put himself in that category.... It's great..😳 He has a support system that brings him down to earth such as his family. Mike wouldn't have been able to be in society if it wasn't for his current wife,she rescued him from his true nature and in no way does he deny who he really is as an individual and he can only stuff him down deep with lots of canabis and his wife's unconditional love and devotion.

@adamlees8410 Жыл бұрын
It's how he EXPLODED onto the scene that's put his name in folklore. Historically no one had made such a devastating impact in boxing. He sent bodies flying through the air lifting people of their feet.His combination of speed, power and ferociousness was literally never seen before and that's the essence of people's fascination with him. Yes he lost but those losses don't define Mike. His impact on the sport and his almost mythical beast like aura was unlike any boxer in history in my opinion. People who lived through it growing up as kids have such a special, personal connection to Mike that's hard to explain to those who missed it.
