Mick doesn’t drink, doesn’t smoke, never took drugs. The man had major surgery and broke down and took Tylenol. He’s been married to the same woman for 30+ years, and has two kids that love, respect, and willingly communicate with him. He’s also a certified living legend of the sport, and I can’t think of one person who has a bad word to say about or against him. Oh, and drew ridiculous amounts of money. And Hulk is Hulk.

@@shoeplayisbad1 That is just patently not true. I know lots of fans on a personal level - not Internet strangers, actual people both who watch the product and are IN the business - who told me that they specifically went to events to see Mick. People I know also regularly mentioned Taker, Triple H and Jericho but if any of those were on a card, people wanted to go. Mick was one. And when WWF started beating WCW in the ratings, it was WCW fans tuning in to see Mick win the title. That's actual hard proof right there that he is indeed 'a draw'. If you know enough about wrestling to be on a Kevin Nash video, you know Mick drew so I have no idea why you'd say he didn't. Nobody would argue that Mick drew on a level of Austin or Hogan - Mick himself wouldn't. During the Attitude era they were filled with heavy talent - Austin, Rock, Bret, HBK, Taker, HHH and others - and Foley was working with them all and enhancing them all. Yes, he was a draw more than a mid card. The amount of DVDs WWE made about him had to mean *he* sells. I don't see the WWE rushing out to put on a Shelton Benjamin collection yet they still keep giving Foley, a guy who criticises them, air time.

When Hogan popularity rise, then the bodybuilders became a known factor in wrestling. Yeah we had Ricky Steamboat, Jimmy Snuka, and Ken Patera but these guys wasn't remembered much about that. Difference there is Hogan never would have taken those bumps. His work style was completely different. Where as Mick's was hardcore spots and death matches because Cactus jack slash mankind was booked as a crazy guy that would do anything to himself and opponent to win. If you were to watch every hogan match ever, I doubt he ever climbed the ropes once to do a high spot. Big guys like him never did especially in the 80s. And he didn't need to. Same with Nash. They worked the style that best fit their gimmick and size. And mick did the same thing. But he is paying for it. Hulk may have technically been an active wrestler for a longer period of time than Mick. But I guarantee Mick wrestled more matches. It is was also insane the bumps he took so the fans could be entertained if is often talked about but he was thrown of the top of a cage he was thrown through a cage to the wrestling floor. That is just insane it is bravery and creativity which allowed him to have legendary moments against the undertaker. It's funny, how people can take things so differently. From this clip, I didn't hear Hogan say anything out of line. Hogan is free to believe what he wants. He does probably train more than Mick and certainly wasn't willing to risk his body in the way Mick was. Are those reasons why Hogan (allegedly) aged better? Likely. If not, Hogan is simply mistaken. I didn't hear Hogan say anything about Foley taking more physical risks with his body. All i heard Hogan say is that he aged better because he hit the gym consistently and didn't eat bad foods while Mick did the opposite. To say that is the reason is ridiculous. Until I got a call from my cousin in the east coast saying that Foley won the belt which I thought first was a joke. WWE really wanted to stick it to Nitro, and the talk of Foley winning was psy ops marketing winning strategy from Vince.

Not to mention Micks stamina and ability to work with just about anyone also how many men he put over and help make in the late 90s 97 helped HHH in a lot of ways had a 4 star classic with HBK. Austin vs Dude love 2 PPVs in a row, The Rock 98-99 when it was apparent that the war was really turning back to WWF he helped make him a player. HHH rumble 2000 no way out 2000 he really did put him over in some of the most awesome matches at the end of his full time run. Now these guys would have gotten over without Mick because they were that just damn talented but he did this for the business. Hulk didn’t put people over really often, didn’t have classic matches with almost everyone but he was a god damn charismatic dude and is a Legend. Kevin Nashes line saying there is only one Hulk Hogan and only one Mick Foley is very fair and objective.
