As a Lions fan, I am both fearful and happy as hell for JJ. Best landing spot he could ask for, but I am fearful because I truly believe this dude is SPECIAL. He has both special talent and intangibles and has this clutch gene that you can only understand by watching him as often as Michigan fans did. He always made the play when we needed it most. People don’t fully understand how great he is going to be. I don’t look forward to facing him twice a year. He may need a year of grooming but in 2-3 years I have a feeling he is going to be contending for championships

Both offensive and defensive minded coaches are happy tonight. All thanks to KAM and his team.

Three takeaways for the Vikings first round and offseason 1. We didn’t have to trade the house for a qb and drafted our guy at 10. 2. We drafted arguably the best defensive player in the draft at 17. Most people had him at 8 to the falcons. 3. Kwesi cooked this offseason. We now will have money to resign JJ and future signings for the foreseeable future. We also signed a few defensive players that will improve our defense and hopefully got the qb of the future. I’m really looking forward for this season. SKOL

This was an amazing draft for the Minnesota Vikings. Essentially, we got two top 10 draft choices. JJ McCarthy was projected to be top five pick by many analysts. Dallas turner is easily a top 10 pick in most years. If it wasn’t for the first 13 picks being offense pics. Dallas, Turner would’ve been a top 10 pick this year. These two draft choices combined with the Vikings free-agent acquisitions, will give us a top ten offense, and a top ten Defense.

As a Michigan and McCarthy fan I was pleased that he landed with the Vikes. Love to see a young QB paired with a QB guru type coach, and there are some nice pieces around him. Really tough Division to compete in, these days. Could be a starter by what, week 6 or so?

When it comes to College football, I have been a life-long Buckeyes fan, so I am not supposed to like this pick! LOL Regardless, rationality must win over emotions, and I think that Kwesi A-M made a great choice in picking McCarthy. All along, I believed that Drake Maye and J.J. McCarthy were - by far - the two most appropriate choices for the organization, and -by far - the two best fits for KOC & the Vikings roster. So, I am really looking forward to following McCarthy's arrival, development during the off-season, pre-season & beyond! SKOL!!!

I was so happy that we got JJ I'm born and raised Yooper and bleed blue for college and of course Purple all my life and when JJ had announced that he was going into the draft this year I wanted our Vikings to pick him!!!!
