Big Daddy - You man. We lost one of the good guys when Kevin passed. Not only was he a true great..a pioneer in the sport...the guy who was such a good athlete that he could compete with teh very best with essentially great wrestling and a little boxing. He was that talented. Just think if he and his HammerHouse brothers had more well rounded training... Damn. But another thing that Kevin doesn't get enough credit for is how good of a guy he was. He was humble and he gave credit where and when it was due. He had no problem admitting when he messed up...and he had no credit telling someone that they were the better. ..I always summed up Kevin this way... unlike the super athletes that are starting to dominate today's mma scene by being just that...great athletes. They are athletes who fight. But they aren't fighters. Kevin was a super athlete, but he was also a fighter. You dig?

This is how a man should behave, seriously if you’re a young man you should copy how he acts here. He makes no excuses, accepts his loss without anger, but importantly, he shows that a loss won’t affect his confidence, or his drive to win in the future. No doubt he had great parents or role model.

On one hand, it's great that MMA is evolving. That being said, I really miss when the sport when Pride and UFC were battling for the number 1 spot. I miss the OGs of the sport too. It's nice seeing the sport become more legitimate but I miss this time period. I miss guys like Kevin Randleman.

Hehe, true, these were brutal shots. Actually, if you watch it in slo-mo, it's the very fist left elbow to the jaw on the ground, that took Mirko completely out. Right after that first one, Crocop's arms went limp and he ate a few more while out.. That was some vicious power.

Just restating the obvious: Randleman was a stud. A pioneer member of a pioneer sport. It was an event when these guys went in. The sport today owes a debt of gratitude to folks like Randleman. I say this to start something. I suggest that Dana White look into assisting Randleman's widow. I don't claim to know it all about the man or his life, so please do not rebut with any corrections of my implications. Just sayin'....
