Pep Guardiola talks to the press after his side's 3-2 victory at Newcastle in the Premier League.
Kevin De Bruyne came off the bench to inspire Manchester City to a 3-2 comeback victory over Newcastle as Oscar Bobb snatched a later winner.
City were trailing 2-1 at St James’ Park when De Bruyne was sent on as a 69th-minute replacement for Bernardo Silva, but he scored within five minutes before setting up fellow substitute Bobb to snatch victory in stoppage time at the end of a thrilling encounter.

As a NUFC fan that was a great game to watch horrible ending but the lads ran themselves into the ground. Our bench is bare the starting 11 are giving their all and against city who are masters at draining your energy keeping the ball and making you chase it. It was great we were still in it at the end. ⁠I’m a Liverpool fan and as soon as I saw Newcastle sit deep at the start of the second half I knew they were in trouble. That’s the difference between Eddie Howe and elite managers. Elite managers improve their team after first half, but Eddie does the opposite. The only reason why he gets protection from the British media is because he is a Brit. PSG had Messi, Mbappe AND Neymar all simultaneously in the same team... Do you think those aren't expensive players??? Do you think PSG got these guys for a bargain price? And look where PSG only got with all that money to spend and all those fantastic players. Same with Real Madrid. It's pretty mindblowing to me that some would really think that it is just money that makes a team great. IT ISN'T. It's the coach, the players, AND all the staff combined and their combined attitudes. If money alone were what creates a winning team, then it should not have been City that won championships in past seasons because there are teams who spent more.

Definitely. He's 32 and had a nasty injury, we need to take it slow. Also, imagine the psychological impact when you're being run ragged, the legs are just starting to feel heavy, and you see De Bruyne warming up....

Well, these kind of passes is KDB speciality and he does it every game. He just needs someone to be able to finish them, like Haaland and now Bobb. What Bobb did, no one else on that field last noght would be able too. How many times have KDB made that pass to other players eithout a result (except Haaland). The way Bobb was able to control the ball in his feet with the defender trying to tackle him so he went out a halance and still managed to do that maneuer past the keeper, that was the impreswive thing, not the pass from KDB, cause thats his speciality and its easy for KDb to make these passes.
