We had about 90% of the eclipse here. I could see it through the clouds. The last time, in 2017, I had a party for my kids and neighbors. I bought everyone funny eclipse t shirts, glasses, and had snacks. It is good memory. This time it was just my husband and I. Things change. But the sun, moon and earth are here every day. How fun it was, Kevin, watching your pets help you clean house. They looked to be as attentive and invested in the project as you were. Here in the northern Catskills it was overcast as well . But the chickens made a run for the coop. By the time they got there the sky was already becoming brighter again. Confused chickens are a hoot. Thank you so much for all the sunshine you bring into our lives .

I always enjoy your videos. I feel welcomed into your home and feel you have elevated my life. I live in Texas and was truly surprised that the birds were quiet as the eclipse hit it’s zenith. The clouds were also glorious around the solar eclipse.

We were in the path of the recent eclipse, experiencing 98.3% totality. The eclipse was a big deal for me so I decided to go out onto my deck, lie down on my back, don my glasses and watch. It moved me. I was reminded that the last time I watched with my dad. I thought how vast the universe. How much better this would have been with a pillow. How the heck was I going to get back up? At the moment of deepest emotion a bird pooped on me.

Kevin, you inspire me to want to deep-clean my house and replace the bills/papers now on my dining room table with a crisp linen tablecloth and fresh spring flowers! Thank you for that.

We had a wonderful 100 percent epic location of the eclipse in Ohio. Complete pitch black darkness. I held antique heritage silver dollars that belong to my late ancestors, and wore a locket of my late husband’s hair, silver fox. It was beautiful minutes…. Everyone cheered. Some firework’s were set off. Being along, I had a simple meal of shrimp cocktail, cheese and crackers, with champagne. It was a memorable moment in time, which I wrote in my journal. Your puff pastry appetizer looked so easy and quite delicious. Seeing you pour all that Vodka and then take a swig made me think how fun it would be to see you tipsy. I think I've got a pretty good idea as to what you'd be like anyway. All that bottled up humour would come pouring out, and you'd have us all in fits of laughter, no doubt.

Granular sugar also works perfectly to preserve flower arrangements. We observed the eclipse at 99% in Mi. Our grandkids and their parents got the total view by spending the night in Ohio. Such events are major ones for my family. I watch most all of your entries, Kevin with great appreciation and have saved many of the recipes. Yay!

Having just experienced a 4.8 earthquake on Friday, I was not too disappointed. Mother Nature is nothing to laugh at for sure. Drinks and charcuterie on the patio sounds heavenly. I was in Chardon, Ohio when the sun and moon crossed paths. Yes it was total--got to see the firey ring with a thrilling 10-sec diamond at 6:00. Awesome! We were gathering to celebrate the eclipse and to participate in a fundraiser for my 10-yo grandson who has leukemia. It was a wonderfully uplifting event: song, channeling, healing, chair massage, forest bathing, and late day drumming around a fire. Happy to share with you 😊

I live in the Catskills of New York, and your locale reminds me of the incredible beauty of nature that I have the joy of experiencing. I spent the eclipse with my brother, his wife, daughter and friends in Essex Junction, Vermont, and witnessed totality of the moon shutting out the sun. It became dark as night, but we had a little party also, with Moon pies, Sun Chips, light-up balloons, Eclipse Gum, and special tee shirts. My brother had a catastrophic stroke two years ago which left him unable to walk, talk, or care for himself. He was overjoyed that his big sister was there to celebrate this very special event, and his smiles and laughter were priceless. Warmest regards to you and your loved ones.

I always cry with the Cody Francis song, in a good way, something about it touches my soul. We were at 83% and it was still very cool, i stood in our parking lot for almost two hours lol! I rushed home from work and set myself up to participate in that extraordinary event. Total darkness in the middle of the day. It was amazing. Everything, including all the humans who had gathered in my neighbourhood, got very quiet. The temperature dropped significantly. I heard a loud rumble, much like thunder. Apparently that booming sound was due to the sudden drop in temperature. And then it was all over; the sun returned, the temperature rose and life went on. Later tonight my daughter and I are going to a Shen Yun performance. We are both so excited. Although this is my gift to my daughter for her birthday, it's a gift to me, too. We drove up to the Lake Piseco area, It was cool seeing people getting ready in their yards and little parking areas and even in the bed of their pickup truck as we drove north. We just pulled over at about 2:40 and watched through our glasses. It was the coolest thing I think I've ever seen. It got SOOOOOO dark up there. It was so worth kind of throwing the days plans away and jumping on the moment. Thanks for your special Eclipse celebration!

I live in Texas very exciting when it got totally dark and the street lights went out.

Here in Ottawa Canada we had 99% eclipse which was amazing. It was fun sharing our glasses with neighbors for the event .
