Here you go folks, this is how to tune your guitar. This is lesson 2 in the guitar roadmapI didn't even make you wait six weeks between uploads this time. I'm sure all 40 of you will be very happy. My dad was a guitar player in a band he plays electric guitar classic guitar and Oud.. I just give him the guitar to tune it I’ve never want to know how to do it but now I’m like humm impressive I’m gonna tune my guitar next time !

I think people underestimate the importance of... practicing, practicing, practicing. Famous rock guitar 'nerds' spent hours in their bedrooms... practicing. They knew almost nothing about guitar musical theory, but they had this desire to get some sounds they could use out of their crappy guitars, which is all they could afford in the early days. Getting the guitar in tune is... vital, in my opinion, becaus it's never gonna sound any good if it isn't in tune. That becomes very discouraging. Even a couple of simple chords sound better, if they are in tune, than out of tune chords.

At 3:42 you go from G# higher to A, which at first didn't make sense to me since it doesn't follow the Eddy Ate Dynamite Good Bye Eddie mnemonic, but then I noticed that this follows the CDEFGABC musical alphabet that I'd find on a piano/keyboard and it made a lot more sense. This information is missing in the video - if you ever happen to re-make this video, please include this information.

I think learning eight or ten chords really well and learing to shift effortlessly between them in all sorts of ways, is important. With just ten chords you can play an awful lot of songs and make up your own ones too. Many famous rock guitarists, who were incredibly successful, innovative and musically talented, didn't no any musical theory and couldn't read music, that, arguably, didn't hold Jimmy Page back. Or maybe it did? Though it's hard to see someone as incredibly successful as Page, being 'held back' because he doesn't read music!

Snark tuners are junk - just sayin - i am very happy with my new DiAdoria or whatevever the damn thing is called - $14 - best cheap tuner i have used - i have an older snark - its shaped like a 1"x1" cube - its little but - ive stepped on it several times and it is still tuning accuratly but they dont make those anymore .....
