Easton Royal is a picturesque village located in Wiltshire, England. The area around Easton Royal has been inhabited since ancient times, with evidence of settlements dating back to the Neolithic and Bronze Ages.
Easton Royal is mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086, where it is recorded as "Estone."
Manor of Easton: The manor of Easton was historically held by various lords, including the Earls of Pembroke. The manor house, Easton Royal Manor, still stands today and is a Grade II listed building.

So many beautiful homes Kevin. You always pick such nice locations for our peaceful Sunday morning walks with you while we listen to the wonderful birds singing! Spring and thatched cottages..perfect.. don't see that many up this way.. one of my local pubs used to be thatched..then it all came off for slate ☹️

Yes mate, we have a lot of thatched cottages here in Oxfordshire and Wiltshire. You need to come down and walk some of these lovely villages.

@KevinTheCountryman definitely.. we have said we are going to have a weekend down there this year. I have seen more of the world, than my own country. Have been exploring Scotland and Wales over the last couple of years, but need to get down south.. looks fantastic what I've seen on TV and YT.

No, these are just normal, rural villages. I grew up in a village. It wasn't as beautiful as this one, but it was very attractive. Most of rural Britain is pretty. These houses will be relatively expensive to buy, but 'normal' people (with jobs that pay well) live in them. Renting is often more affordable, and can bring the possibility of living in a place like this within reach of people on modest incomes.
