Discovering Wooton Rivers: A Fairytale Village Straight Out of a Chocolate Box. Wootton Rivers is a English village located in the county of Wiltshire, England (the English countryside). Its history dates back many centuries.
The village of Wootton Rivers has medieval origins, with evidence suggesting settlement in the area since at least the 11th century. It was mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086.
Historically, Wootton Rivers was associated with several manor houses, including Wootton Manor and Wootton Rivers Manor.
The village has a historic church, St. Andrew's Church, which dates back to the medieval period. This church has likely been a focal point for the community for many centuries.

One of the greatest joys in life is walking in beautiful places. Better than any tranquilizers or suchlike. Taking in the peace and tranquility, and beauty. The birdsong and the churches too. My husband can no longer accompany me because of age and his health not being as good as it used to be. Whilst you have strength in your legs - use them and discover the beauty we have around us. Much of our own retirement has been spent doing these walks in our gorgeous English countryside. These videos help and are an escape from the stresses of the world today, thank you so much.

Я из Беларуси. Вы совершенно правы. У нас ,конечно, не такие красивые деревни, но тоже милые по своему. А природа наша необыкновенная! Леса волшебные, и тысячи озёр и рек ... Я тоже на пенсии и обожаю путешествовать. Но не всегда хватает средств, увы😮😅 Стану путешествовать с Кевином😊❤

Да а какой свежий воздух у вас в деревне !Такие деревеньки надо все в заповедную зону включать.Чтобы никакие дороги мосты там не проводили.Это же РАЙ и сохранять для ваших потомков надо!Мне ещё понравилась речка и дорожка с ней рядом бежит .КАК удобно сделано и для людей! На лодках любители катались.Все очень душевно❤СПАСИБО КЕВИН🎉🎉🎉

Lovely village, but the canal walk was fascinating! Do you know how long it takes to move a boat from one lock to the next, Kevin? I'm not a fan of being on the water, but I think living on one of these for a season would be an interesting experience. Thanks for the extra long walk. Happy April!

Hey Jennifer, hope you are well. The time it takes to move a boat from one lock to the next varies depending on the distance between the lock, the size of the lock, the water flow, the type of boat, and the experience of the boat operator. But on average, it's about 15 to 30 minutes to pass through a single lock. This includes maneuvering the boat into the lock chamber, closing the lock gates, filling or emptying the chamber to raise or lower the water level, opening the gates, and exiting the lock.
