I think adding back the stock front and overpipe while keeping your touring exhaust and header combo is a great touch. Ive seen similar setups with a tomei header and its still loud but has a nice rumble to it 🫣

Greddy sp - hands down the best exhaust for the money. Second pick would be csg mxp spec it’s also amazing, both are pretty tame! Also… I have a used set of b14 coilovers with HVT top hats and reseng 2 inch extended top hats. I’d let ‘em go to you for 900 shipped. 5k miles on em.

i agree on the awe exhaust, i have both track and touring edition and will probably sell it since im going to get headers soon. will probably go with apex or hks quiet exhaust

That is crazy loud. I have nearly the exact same exhaust setup as this on my BRZ, except i have the catted and resonated JDL combo pipe instead of the dual resonated and an Invidia q300 catback. Cold start isn't nearly as obnoxious, has no drone or rasp at all, but is pretty aggressive when you get on it. After hearing this i am really happy i went with a cat in the combo pipe, because this is way to loud for me.

Would love more of a review style video. I ran full whiteline catalog on my Sti and Cusco on my forester xt. My st built for touge racing was amazing no clunks or noises but with my xt using Cusco I had a lot of clunks. Now that I am building my gr86se10thA I am leaning towards whiteline again. Curious your opinion on all your Cusco arms with noise vibrations and harshness

A tip for not getting hated on by neighbours who don't like early morning cold starts. Get a pool noodle, cut a short piece from the end, trim it to fit, and stick that in the tailpipe. Wait till your baby quietens down and remove.

@@tama47_ how is putting a car in reverse going to lessen the sound ? Cold starts with loud exhaust are bad regardless of the cars position or location. Especially if it’s near buildings and it’s echoing off all the walls

I have an MST cold air intake as well as an MBRP 5in dual axle back exhaust. Cold start is a little loud. But the rumble and pops on downshifts are mint. Only issue is I'm getting decent vibrations from the intake and I can't seem to diagnose where its coming from.

What suspension are you planning on swapping too? Been eyeing the RCE SS1s, but hoping that they'll show up on one of the BST groups while I'm saving up. I also just picked up a Corsa exhaust last night and have my FT86 catted UELs ready to go, so you're finally free from my pestering :)

Just got my Neptune Blue Premium GR86! right in time for summer! Going the AWE Touring Edition Catback Exhaust, and Picked out the Konig Ampliform Wheels. Kevin was wondering if you think 18x8.5 +44 with a 245 would rub? Not swapping the suspension just yet... gotta wait on the funds to replension before going with the Tein Flex -Z so stock ride height. Will i have fitment issues?

Kevin can you explain a bit more about the process of getting the fitment perfectly without having to trim/shave the fenders? I have a very similar setup(18x9.5 +43 / 255-35) coming. So far I've I have the Cusco RUCA and some Racecompeng Coils.

I wonder what the stock over the axle exhaust would sound like with the front end opened up with a header and free flowing midpipe? I bet the noise level would be much better and you wouldnt lose any power to speak of.

Can you try the full titanium exhaust from npboosted ? That's a lot of weight saving for less than 1000 bucks, and it's all resonated and 2.75 instead of 3/3.5 awe. I think the factionfab titanium exhaust is the npboosted rebranded . Sorry for my English :)

Hey Kevin an idea for you. I’d like to see if you can talk about electronics. Wiring, using a multimeter, etc. I’ve been having issues with my lights. Sidemarker light turned off. Blinkers don’t work. My fix, is that I slightly move the cable 😂 my buddy did the wiring but i have no idea how he figured it out. I’d love to redo it but i do not want to blow a fuse, drain my battery, cause a short etc. i feel you explain things well so I’d love to see an intro for newbies on how to wire stuff for a car. There is a module that creates fake engine noise? On the 2013 as well?

I went custom, 2 resonator and 2 dc"mufflers" which removes 1 cat. Its similar to the Invidia n1 on start and low revs but higher rpms you get a more open sound since the cat is removed for me. Also won't it be annoying to clean the perrin filter?

Just out of curiosity, I know JDL makes your overpipe and down pipe but what are your thoughts on the high flow cat “quiet” versions? I’m looking for the whole header/overpipe/Down pipe set up and have an invidia exhaust on it so I feel like if I don’t get the quiet one I might blow my neighbors ears off😂

personally I'm waiting to see if Sard will release 4-throttle kit for the FA24D the way they did for the FA20. the ITB makes it sound like an ae86, no way imma pass up on that. Also planning on running a tomei 80r with that set-up, car should sound good with that.
