This video is for all of the small- and mid-sized businesspeople who have decided that they've outgrown Excel and are thinking about moving up to a full-fledged database application but can't decide what to do.
It's also for the person who is working for a larger company and is trying to convince his boss to use Microsoft Access, but the boss (who usually isn't a computer expert) was told by some "consultant" they need something more "large scale" when they really don't. Of course, a lot of consultants love to push expensive, over-priced systems.
Or, perhaps you're a student, small business owner, hobbyist, or other non-computer-type person who wants to learn what Microsoft Access is all about and how it can benefit you.
In any case, I'm going to tell you why Access is a fantastic choice for pretty much all of your database needs, what its key benefits are, and why you should consider using it for your next project.

THANK YOU!!!!!! Folks at my job are trying to use excel for everything. We don't need spreadsheets, we need a database. It's 2023 people! Just like you said, they are not tech savvy......and they ain't hearing it!!!

Since 2003, we have used access, built an integrated system with vb6 and CR, to overcome the 2GB size limit, we tricked saving a year's transactions with one mdb, when the data is called our application that arranges for data to be collected, every day we backup the files That makes it easier if you want to know the daily version of the data. recovery is very fast and easy because it is saved as a file, not a sql script like other rdbms, many people still love access with its convenience, I hope one day microsoft will develop a way to make the 2GB file limit more than that, like vb6 which is the most flexible language and fast to make applications..

I have programming experience but I used MS Access to handle checks because I need to be able to make micro adjustments on the fly with the checks and deposit slips.

I don't care what the "expert" clowns say. Access is king. The software industry has been trying to kill it off over the past 20 years because it is a huge threat to their pre-made subscription-based business model. They have been spreading misinformation about Access for decades, which is the reason why it has a bad rep among many in the industry, most of whom have never actually used Access. I literally can't think of a single thing that you can't do with Access. I've been trying to get into PowerApps lately, since my company wants a phone app to do factory inspections. And I must say, I am sad that Microsoft is now focusing more on PowerApps than Access. I find PowerApps to be very gimmicky, and it is in no way anywhere nearly as powerful as Access.

So true. I clicked on a Facebook ad for Oracle Business Solutions. A rep called. Asked how much I make in a year, and said it will cost me $1500 a month. I'm a small one man business. I told the rep " no thanks"

Yeah, that's crazy. I don't know how some of these online CRM companies think the average small business can afford those kinds of prices. An Access database will run 99% of small businesses.
