I know it's been a long while, but I think I spotted a whoops that hasn't been picked up yet. At 34:45, when you took back your mistake, you aren't allowed to buy and sell the same resource in the same turn when you take a shipping action. So you weren't allowed to take the raw wood after all. Thank you for the tutorial!

Ah, yeah I think you are right. Honestly I think this is too nuanced to deal with trying to explain this in a subtitle but thank you for pointing it out. I'm glad you enjoyed this, it's such a wonderful game and I'd love to get it played again (its been a long while).

As I've said before, workers with specialties are a vastly underutilized mechanic in these types of games. I really like how the players will actually determine what their worker pool composition will look like in future rounds based on what tile they claim by the end of the season. It gives players a lot to think about in terms of not just immediate resources but a general direction they might want to aim their strategy based on what the pool they'll get is looking like.

I agree, I love specialized workers and the way Keyper does it is fascinating.

Minor note: you manipulate the country board your Keyper was on, not the one in front of you. It doesn't matter for Keyper, but it looks like it matters for Keyper at Sea since one of the boards is replaced by a special sea board.

Huh, I never looked into the expansion to know that was a factor. Good to keep in mind if I ever play with it. I decided not to back the KS for that expansion though, felt that Keyper had enough stuff in the box already.

@@JonGetsGames the expansion is incredible. It takes it into very deep territory and approaches Lacerda-esque complexity in a super smooth manner.

Isn't the yellow player next in clockwise order? (at 3:52) Edit: I see you're playing blue's turn next, so that matches. It seems backwards from the layout for the video, though.

I can see your point, but for filming purposes I always go from left to right and then cycle back after.
