What do you think about this tutorial? Should I do more automotive tutorials?

Its great, Absolutely yes, I have a question, is there a way to render faster without reducing render quality?
@textureman
@textureman 2 жыл бұрын
@@onur007 You got two options, reduce the overall settings, for example you can render only FHD image not 4k, and you can reduce samples to 196 or 256, you can also reduces ray bounces to 12 or14, and also global illumination, shadow quality to 2 not 3. Option number 2 is using maximum samples quality and try to render it just with 196 sample or 256.

You can create hyper-realistic renders with KeyShot, I am working on more videos about simple realistic rendering, stay tuned 🙂 Thank you for your comment.

@@textureman yeah i`ve been using it since 2011 and back than it was well quity shitty, but now this tool is sick for product rendering. For complex scenes i mostly prefer Fstorm render - but its as fast as keyshot. For the upcoming videos could you focus more in white plastics/complex painted plastic materials and white studio lighting. My guess is that lots of people would be interested. Anyways - good luck with your job and more subscribers to come, you do a great job man, sorry Texture Man 8)

@@Muerte_S White studio lighting, you mean something like products on website or something similar like Apple Style? I got similar tutorial when I render PlayStation 5 Controller, or do you want to know how to render white plastic on white background?

@@textureman I’m looking for something that I can achieve in Fstorm render for painted plastic material with proper falloff reflections with some coating layer and correct bump texture for a more realistic surface.

How do you make this rendered background look like an infinite plane?pretty cool Hope you can make a video to demonstrate your steps. Thanks a lot
@textureman
@textureman 2 жыл бұрын
Hello, that's actually good idea, maybe in the next video I will show step by step tutorial, but basically, you made ground plane, and you place to opacity texture channel map which is gradient circle, white in the middle and on the edge dark color, so your ground plane will disappear along the edges. Thank you for idea :-)

Are you able to export that HDRI as exr/hdr for use in other programs?
@textureman
@textureman 2 ай бұрын
Yes or course, after you create this HDR image in the KeyShot, you can save it or export it, then you can use it in the different rendering engines.

Hi could you please tell me when I should render with CPU and when with GPU. I see quite a big difference in the final render. Unfortunately, transparent objects made with the GPU look worse. Even though I use RTX 3090 graphics cards. Thank you very much for all your suggestions.
@textureman
@textureman Жыл бұрын
It's really hard to say. Mostly you need to use where you got more power, of course GPU rendering almost all the time faster. I like to render static images with my CPU and if I need preview animation or something like that, I am using GPU. For transparent objects you need to use really lot of samples with GPU and also Ray Bounces to make it perfect clear. Some people prefer GPU some people prefer CPU, I rather wait little bit more for CPU render :-) It's kind of weird answer but it's more question about what do you prefer.

How to make glitter. I never seen good glitter on keyshot. Like what you see on boats motorcycles and guitars.
@textureman
@textureman 2 ай бұрын
If you want to create a good car paint with a glittering effect or some kind of sparkle effect, perhaps a good way is to download something from the Cloud Library in KeyShot. However, I've never created that effect before, so I can't really help you with this topic.

As i am watching your lightning, i'm thinking that you could just have put an horizontal bar instead of all these pins
@textureman
@textureman Жыл бұрын
Hello Enzo, yes of course you can do that, but sometimes when geometry of object is little bit more curve and you don't have results what you want or like, I prefer to use more small pins to light it, but general rule, less is better 🙂there is not like one way how to do it, if you are able to achieve beautiful lighting with the horizontal bar you should do it, it saves time and make it more cleaner with less pin lights 🙂

I know that feeling 😊 but you can try import 3D model which is less detailed or you can import 3D model with less poly count. Try export your 3D model with less poly count and see the difference, another good tip is using basic settings you can set up the whole scene and then you can turn on product mode or different rendering mode 😊 sometimes I import 3D model which got really lot of unnecessary polygons and it makes big difference when you import 3D model with less polygons 😊

Sometimes it took long time to render, especially automotive renders, This settings is little bit overkill, but if you want crisp render in higher resolution is the only way, But yeah 9 hours, :-) I was doing it overnight so it was not hurting so much :-)
