You got the better IONIQ 5… primarily we got the worlds left overs (SE & SEL) without even rear seat heaters or a moderately motorized passenger seat. 🤨

In the USA, a 500-mile EV is a “must” for market success.

500??? Upper 300 for me. 500 would be nice but my past Accords and other family vehicles have not provide 500 Miles of range per tank.

So a vehicle 'must' have the ability to drive for 7 hours+ straight, no stopping? It's not safe to drive that length of time without breaks. What is needed is plentiful chargers to cover the distance with regular breaks.

The statement was an hyperbole! In the US, driving cross country from Los Angeles to New York City is almost 2800; about the same driving distance as Lisbon to Moscow, Spain fits inside Texas with 100 miles to spare around it. Either a ton more range or super quick charging and a lot more charging stations than currently available.

It's the same in Norway with regards to service centers, we got one in my city last year, but before that you had to either drive or ship your car 340-450 miles to the nearest service station. My boss has had to make the trip with his model X at least 5 times the past 2 years prior to the service center coming up in my town. Also the charging network here in the north is no where close to that in the south, far and few apart, so tesla is definitely not leading the race in northern norway. Alot better in the south though.

Think it is about 18 months since Mach-e launched, can we expect a refresh /facelift soon? Hoping they sort out the suspension and have a rethink about the monster screen..can only hope.They did get a lot right though with the Mach-e.

The suspension on the MACH-E is excellent. I think what you are really complaining about is the steering and the feedback to the wheel. Sandy Munro gave FORD the highest praise for the MACH-E suspension.

I can't fit a fast smart ev charger in my home. Should I buy an ev 6? How many Kim's will a granny charger give me in 10 hours? Is there a DC fast charger in Limerick

Look on ESB charge map for fast DC chargers in Limerick. 10 hrs on a granny charger will give 200-250 kms

Hi Ger. Download an app such as PlugShare, they'll tell you exctly what chargers are close to your location. As for the granny cable...our LEAF gets 10-15kms range per hour plugged in.

Ahh Blake, yes the new MG5 will be much better looking, but beware, the value now will not likely be met again. See the price differences on ZS EV!

Tesla started with the attitude that it's a computer with wheels. Zero preconceived notions otherwise. Computer manufacturers have had to deal with shifting chip supplies since day one.

IMO the KIA EV 6 uses too much energy and the design doesn't fit my taste. Yes, it can charge fast ...in summer. But especially in winters (when the range is smalller) you need a fast charging speed... and the EV 6 is VERY slow in cold conditions.

I’d wait for a Germany Tesla with the 4680 cells before I’d buy anything from 🇨🇳. I don’t wear blinders well. 🤷🏻

@@honesty_-no9he I don’t have a problem with the people or their factory. It’s the hardware that is not the same as I stated, specifically citing the battery. The batteries are different from what they are in other factories. Things that are different are not the same and when they are different I can like one more than another. That country only produces batteries that are different than other factories. It doesn’t have to be that way. Conflating batteries I cited to people is a racist stretch I consider Phycological Projection.

Tesla is being cheap. They not only have no passenger lumbar but no apple car play or a home charger. Then you of course have to check it out with a fine tooth comb when picking the car up for body gaps etc. too much of a hassle for most people.
