Kickass is pretty smart. He somehow learned to perfectly operate a minigun flying jet in 5 minutes (by reading a manual, no less).

@@worsethanhitlerpt.2539 Where are you getting that from? Typical minigun uses 7.62x51mm caliber, which weighs 25g each. Let's say Kickass can fire 2000 rounds each (so 4000). That's only 0.11 ton. But this specific minigun was quite small, so it probably used smaller caliber (to reduce weight and volume for flight). That would make this much much lighter. Where are you getting your 500 ton from?

***** it has a LOT to do with size, I have no experience with Judo, I had this smaller girl try and put me in an arm lock while on the ground - what did I do? I couldn't wiggle my arm out so I just lifted her entire body across and slammed her down. So her small size made her locks damn near impossible to maintain. This tiny 90 pound kid? Nothing would work, she would have to be cheap and take out joints somehow or else she'll be taken down in seconds.

***** Everything has some relation to size, want to punch? Without that force behind it you're not going to hurt anyone. Ever have a kid punch you? Then grab a 250 pound guy have him punch you, you'll tell the difference. Granted, in this scene there is no real hand to hand combat - in the other scenes, there are and its laughable, how she twirls around and throws them down somehow, how she kicks them down, how she punches them and actually hurts them. Its all laughable, you can be the most precise and quick martial arts fighter in the world, but if you're a tiny 4 foot tall 90 pound kid, you pack NO power behind those punches/locks.

I love this scene, it might not have been the *most* badass scene in the movie, but it hold a special place in my heart. At the beginning of the movie Dave was too scared to even jump across buildings, but here he is, flying thousands of feet above the air, putting his life on the line. It really just shows you how much of an actual hero Kick-Ass was, and that's why I respect the hell out of this movie for doing what it did. Best Superhero Movie ever.

2:49 It's called Battle Hymn Of The Republic and corresponds to the vigilantism aspect of the story, and it's played twice in the movie. We also hear the tune played as symphonic background music when Big Daddy trains Hit-girl to take a bullet with bullet-proof west on towards the beginning of the movie. The Subsequent Elvis cover concludes the story!

The director, who is British, said he wanted to use a quintessentially patriotic American theme that wasn't simply the national anthem, and I suppose he made about as good of a choice as he could (I really like the choice, whether he was simply being naive about this or not). And I have to say that there is nothing more American than having Elvis sing the "Battle Hymn Of The Republic" in the background while a wannabe superhero flying a jetpack is blasting away with twin miniguns. ;)

The song American Trilogy by Elvis is a fantastic great song, It could actually be seen as a kind of American hymn. If you want to see the entire song done live by Elvis, just look up "Am Trilogi 1973 Elvis" you wont regret it.

I like how the movie take the idea of real life superheroes in the comics but just like the comics it could get pretty ridiculous but the good kind especially since you see a jet pack with miniguns
