Shad is here now at Bonneville dam, Washington state. But it's still very early, I landed 21 shad in 6 hours, from 9:30AM to 2:30PM. Again, the most important trick for shad fishing is: Keep your line tight! Let the jig sink for about 8 to 10 seconds to the bottom before reeling in if the current is pretty strong. Reel in right away if there is no current. Leave the comments if you have questions. Been fishing shad sent 1989. I Mosty count to 20 fast after casting when the water is that high. If you go deep most of the big females are Nere the bottom. you can tell because it is harder to pull them up and they turn into the current faster. Have caught some at 25 inches. Fun video. Stay safe.

I went there few years ago and caught only one. Was a very sad day of fishing. Drove from Bonney Lake to there was like 3.5 hours if I remember right. Like your videos, keep em coming.

Shad was fished to near extinction in the hudson river and Chesapeake, and they are only coming back to acceptable numbers. I dont think they can be fished for eating yet
