This was amazing. She took one of my favorite dance/club songs from the 90's and really gave the lyrics the credit they deserve. The song has a whole new meaning and an intensity of emotion, sadness, and loss that the dance track hides. Bravo!

True. I didn't really get this is a cover at first (hehe, idiot ;-)) but my advantage was I listened without prejudice. So I thought, well the lyrics are quite on point and the tune and singing is not bad either ... Stop! This is Haddaway! And hey man, these lyrics really are good. Seems they've actually hided a quality song in a Eurodance trash.

Ain't it. Most, if not all, of her music is inspired on 90's dance, if you listen closely. But she manages to make it sounds fresh -- this cover is a very good example of how she does that -- and... I love everything about it. She reminds me of songs from my childhood, but with songs I've never heard before (except for this one, obviously). What Kiesza does is amazing and inspiring.

I love her cover of it. It totally changes how the lyrics come off. It changes the meaning of the song. It makes it more vulnerable, more heartbreaking. I think what she did with it was unique and powerful. Props.

This is a damn fine rendition. Kiesza nailed it, adding melancholy to the song and this helps to focus more attention to the lyrics. The original version kept me good company for a whole summer, back in the day, but this version went straight to my heart. ❤

reinterpretation of a classic doesn't mean the artist is "ripping off" the originally. that's why it's a reinterpretation. and it doesn't mean they are any less of an artist. this version isn't trying to capture the same vibe as the original club version....that's why it's called a reinterpretation. for better or for good, it's trying something new to a classic. everyone's entitled to their own opinions. I think this version is pretty damn good.

Kiesza's cover is very nice espacially in the rhythm and the simple depth of her voice contrary to stupid dubstep remixes. The video is also a lovely interpretation. If people are all naked, for me, it means that everyone is equal regarding how love can hurt, a passage when you are feeling completely... nude and weak, and people are actually get exposed face to the pain.

I am about to watch 'The Brittany Murphy Story', so I wanted to check out the trailer, and this version of this song played in the background. So I fell in love with it instantly and started to look for it via youtube. As soon as I saw that Kiesza had covered it, I knew straight away that it was her beautiful voice singing it. So that's what brought me here. An absolutely gorgeous version of it, very moving - you know that someone has done a great job in covering a song when you enjoy it all over again, and actually hear certain lyrics that I hadn't noticed in the original!! BEST COVER OF THIS SONG EVER, I wish there was a 'I LOVE' IT' thumbs up!!

OM NOM NOM Banks a) literally who tf was talking to you? b) I genuinely don't know why I would lie about a song...if i dont know it that well, i dont know it that well. c) it's not that deep. i don't have to know a song by heart for other people to want to sing it *edit:* (gotta add that i said 'that well', because i recognize the chorus but i've never heard the whole song a day in my life, and when i see the title, i immediately think of other songs with the same title, certainly not this one) either way your comment made no sense
