Got this episode from a 2003 Tape I bought on eBay the other day and it's surprisingly in a decent quality for VHS. It was my first time seeing an episode of this show, seems like an interesting show. Also, you know what that means? More commercial breaks coming this weekend hopefully. lol.

Kikaider is without a doubt a Adult Swim #gem... The other ending theme called "destiny" was like a anime lulluby at 2AM at night... It was a perfect come down after watching Big O.

I really enjoyed this anime. Quite a tragic tale of a machine trying to overcome its programming, while still fighting the ones who wish to use androids for evil.

This version of the credits was the best. I remember watching A.S. at that age. It was always cool but at the end seeing these credits after that episode, man did I cry that night (absolutely perfect). I've been looking for this for literal years. 😍

@@Ice.muffin Yes 4 episode ova or movie. Dr Gil survived assuming control of hakaider to destroy kikaider and his newly found brothers. Then there's the sequel to that where it crosses over with Devilman

Kikaider is my favorite anime of all time. Then Trigun, Cowboy Bebop and Lupin the 3rd comes after in no order at all. I love the design for Kikaider & the coloring. This anime just screams emo and there isn't not many animes i think created a emo R rated anime like Kikaider that nails that dark yet adorable vibe.. The artstyle is enough to draw you in and the story is enough to get you attached even tho the series isnt very song

Nice little description of the show. I also love Cowboy bebop & Lupin. I never got to see much of Trigun especially when it was on TV though, and I didn't know what Adult Swim even was yet when Kikaider was on there. But from what I saw, I liked it a bit anf it seems to be something I'd probably watch if I had access to all of the episodes. I prefer shorter animes so this will probably be easy for me to watch.

Kikiader was a live action tv show like power rangers before this anime, the anime isn’t meant to be cutesy it’s the design of the comic it’s from, the depth of the story is something many “children’s” franchises (even though they aren’t) have especially the iconic ones. In similar fashion older spider man and captain America comics or quite a variety of Nintendo games. The man behind power rangers created kikiader.

DUDE THANK YOU FOR UPLOADING THIS ! First saw the series on adult swim when i was a kid waking up late in the middle of the night and the memory of this series and ending on adult swim made me look up the series a few years back , its one of my favorite animes and a series i watch EVERY year but through time i forgot about this adult swim specific end credits and finding it again was like stumbling a secret hidden memory of mine . Man ! Thank you

Amazing, thank you for this (very rare) upload. They used "Theme of Gemini" (the original opening to the show) over episode clips for the credits on Adult Swim's one and only airing of Kikaider. Had me hooked to my seat every time it came on.

@@bumparchive I know the original run was from June-July 2003 (which is what I watched), but perhaps the re-runs blew right past me because it was just a 12-ep series (plus OVA). Similarly to Witch Hunter Robin (only received two runs), AS shelved Kikaider after those runs and let the rights expire.

This credits spoils the last few episodes XD I am thankful that of the themes Adult Swim pick, they went with Theme of Gemini. That song sticks with me even to this day.

This was my show on adult swim, i was a teen when this was out. I enjoy this show the most my top 3 my number 2. This is no happy ending in this show at all.

Is that a mandolin I hear? And if anybodyyy happened to know the name / and or origin of that chunky, wompy, moody synthesizer... It sounds like it's serving as a bassline function for the song, on top of managing to have enough of its own melody to my ear, to make it a bit more of a hybrid in function and presentation for sure. I will track it down eventually but if anybody with the elite knowhow happens to see this SOS.... I would love you.

It's about a robot with a conscience that's shunned by both humans (for not being human) and robots (for siding with humans). It's bittersweet at best.

It feels insane to say, but I've been searching for literal decades of any recorded copy of this exact thing. I loved the Adult Swim version of the end credits and was heart broken as a kid that the English dub DVDs didn't include it! Thank you, seriously, it feels nice to finally rewatch this for the first time since the summer of 2003.
