Been itching to try out some Kasrkin for a while, so pitting them up against the new imperial police seemed fun.
At least it could possibly allow them to use their manacles, which they can't do anymore.
Errors abound as per usual, but we try and persevere through these casual games with friends.

Just a heads up you can only use the recon troopers ability to use a second scouting option only on the dash option. The wording for it is a little confusing.

Love how you add insights about tactical/strategy issues in the voiceover. It's very helpful to understand the "whys."

Hi Kimerex, great video, I like how you overlayed the tokens and effects and close ups to show what was going. I appreciate how you also added the rules for the tac and strategic ops. Much better than some battle reports I’ve seen that go for 1.5 hours with not much idea of what is happening. I have subscribed and will be watching more of your videos.

I know this is an old video, but in case there are other late arrivals like me: the Executioner Shotgun is so named because it fires Executioner rounds, which are homing, heatseeking projectiles. Thus the increased range!

Love the videos. Have y’all ever tried Malifaux? That’s my favorite skirmish game.. so just curious. I’m currently getting into AOS. Just hate the “they do all their stuff, then I do all my stuff” part of GW games

It's great against low health teams. Against the elites, you really are just relying on a plasma and a melta and a grenade launcher krak grenade. Those are still really scary, but i saw someone talk about that frag combo online, and when my friend said he was going to play Arbites, I knew I had a chance to get it on camera.

Hm, in update dataslate, if i was reading correctly, you cannot take grenadier and give krak / frag grenades at the same time: You can only select each equipment with the Indirect special rule (e.g. dynamite, krak grenade, fusion grenade) once per battle. If a friendly operative already equipped with such equipment is selected for deployment (e.g. ASSAULT GRENADIER PATHFINDER), this counts as your selection.

I probably missed it - how exactly kasrkin trooper used a grenade against mastiff in conceal behind the barricade?

Guessing your talking about the tossed frag at the beginning of turn 2? Frag grenades have the indirect rule. Indirect negates the cover a unit is in during the cover line check. So even though the mastiff is in conceal, it is like it is in conceal in the open, making it a viable target. It still gets a cover save, to my understanding, but the only way to avoid getting an indirect grenade tossed at you is to be in obscuring, which it is not.

@@KimerexProjekt yep, sorry, forgot about that one :) I've recently picked up kill team on ITD maps where indirect is much harder to pull off. Thanks for clarification. Shame to see exaction squad struggling (rules wise they're also a bit meh), but lets have hope. After all, necrons were buffed to a playable state.

Amazon. They are the "Jucoci Objective Point Markers 6PCS Set Objective Marker Compatible with WH40K KT Wargame" Just make sure they are the KT ones. There are 9th edition 40k ones that look just like em.

The exaction squade are the new hieroteck, basically shit. Was pumped for them as a new KT player but they need a rework

What do you think that rework might involve? I know games workshop has said that they don't want you to have to buy more of the squad boxes for whatever balance they put into place. So maybe they get the kasrkin buff of plus one wound. But I don't know how much that would help. I just wish my buddy had the subductors for the shields. I feel like the team can't easily work without them. Going all specialists isn't the ideal for an on table team. We'll have to wait and see.

I like production value of video, but one sided games are not very interesting. Imo, exaction squad was designet for ItD terrain.

I feel like there is a place for them if you use shielders. Outside of that, they are very difficult to play. We'll have to see how they get rebalanced going forward.

Figures - you're betting space police against xenomorphs, 200-pound super soldiers, lumberimg fleshmountains and terminator-esque robots. Not even Dredd and Robocop combined could fare well with these.

I enjoy the reports, but those blue dice are likely wildly biased in some way. Don't get me started on why people should use precision backgammon dice with a cup or casino dice and a tower but so much of Kill Team (and any dice based game) is determined by the dice. Why not really know the true outcome by ensuring as close to true random die rolls as possible?

Having played several matches of 10th with those dice these past couple weeks I can safetly say that they are just as capable of throwing me off a cliff as they are elevating me to greater heights. They're also a GW product. The Maelstrom Dice. They feel better in terms of quality than most of the dice I own (outside of the metal ones that cause problems with the camera and such when I roll).

One solution is that both players select from the same dice pool. I noticed that in 40k especially, players are really clingy to their dice, almost superstitious about letting other players using them.
