I love the fact that Dani didn't change the Motions style like so many coaches who dance for other HBCUs. Dani just polished and added to the Motion's signature look. Beautiful Ladies.

Goddammit i got it...i knew it was something prof simmons and company brought to the ocean that made them just seem different besides arrangements and sound...the identity and feel of the band feels classy distinguished and more mature performing...everything is more organized controlled with that cleanliness from the fitted band director uniforms to the movement of the motion and twirlers to the behavior of the band...great job my OCEAN OF SOUL🌊🌊🌊🌊💨💨💨💨💪💪💪💪💪🔥🔥🔥🔥❤❤❤❤💯💯💯💯

I agree, same ocean, new wave. It seems The Ocean has maintained its identity but its all about attention to detail. EVERYTHING from uniforms, sound and movements is precise including the Motion! A clear difference from past versions of the Ocean. Good job staff and students!

"Thoth parades on the Sunday prior to Fat Tuesday each year through Uptown New Orleans with the most unique route in Mardi Gras. Still holding to our roots ..." Beautiful Parade route until they entered under the bridge, then it looks like a totally different city. Just a gorgeous city. The girls were beautiful, the band was kicking, and the crowds sooo Louisiana [know how to have a good time]. Enjoyed.

Motion looks so good. This may be a bit controversial, but I think Chyna should be up front next season. The girls have been on an upward movement since Cheyenne and Kaelynn came after and gave everything, so they need to keep that momentum going🤷🏾 and her energy has been IT at these parades.

12:30: Isn't this the Brass version of a Cheap Trick classic? It has this 80s sound, sort of! But please help me, can't figure out which is the title of this song! By the way: Cheap Trick are still alive & kicking & are getting ready for a new tour! Hurrah, update: heard the original version of this song on the radio yesterday. It's Journey's "Don't stop believin'. Also an 80s classic that lives on, performed by a Afro - American College brass band.
