As Craig is still making his way to Morocco via a 48 hour ferry, I am now stuck at the airport having missed my flight, pondering what to do with myself as there are no more flights going.
The travel mission continues and FINALLY we are reunited after what seems to be the longest two days of our lives 😂 As a solo female traveller - I think the world would swallow me up haha!
Group travel is the only way for me 😂😂 Get me back to van life - it's safer 😆

🇲🇦 🥳 Woohoo where we've decided we don't want another cold winter in the UK. Our mates @eamonandbec mentioned they'd be heading back to Morocco to pick up their van trinity and we couldn't think of a lovelier place to van life & spend Christmas 🎄

You actually took 1 step back by missing the 2nd flight.(..bloody buggers for 'moving the gate without telling you) lol...and you improvised and you took TWO huge ass steps forward....so high 5 for getting a safe place to sleep for getting your lugage and for getting the fast trains 1 and 2 and for finally reaching your goal destination. Let’s be clear about something, the thought of taking two flights in Morroco, then missing one and having to them sort out a hotel and a train, with changes, would make many people who don’t have generalised anxiety disorder sweat, but you did it. You didn’t think about it, you DID IT! Super inspirational.

Hey guys, just a heads up - today Morocco anounced that all international flights to/from the country would stop for initially two weeks re covid - remember last time and it turned into a year - so, check out how the ferry situation is and how it might develope.

As someone that’s suffered from anxiety for my entire life I just wanted to thank you for being so open about your struggles Aimee. Honestly you just got super unlucky because you were at the gate. That’s like my main fear when travelling is that they’ll move the gate without warning. Also you did great and made it in the end 😊 also shout out to Craig for being so understanding and supportive ❤

I feel like a proud Auntie! You did it! You both did it! You got through it. It was tough, I know, and anxiety is horrendous, BUT YOU DID IT! Thank you so much, Aimee for being so honest in this video. You didn’t gloss over how you were feeling, and you didn’t pretend that it wasn’t hard. I want you to know that watching you, being inspired by you, has already helped me to be stronger. I have a fear of driving and honestly, I avoid it whenever I can. I had to pick my husband up from the airport a few nights ago, and it was dark and snowing, and the roads were slushy. I couldn’t even make out the lines on the road. I was so scared. And I just thought of you and this solo trip of yours, and it gave me strength. I can do things that scare me. You can do things that scare you. We aren’t going to be perfect, and it isn’t going to be easy, but we can do it. And each time we do things that scare us, we get a little stronger. You rule your own world, Aimee, and you are helping me rule mine! ♥️

Wow! I’m impressed that you didn’t need any anxiety meds going through all that. You had a surprise luggage pickup, last minute hotel booking, last minute train that made you switch to a second train and then a shuttle to the hotel. And you made it! Without pharmacological intervention! Well done lady! Superb. I almost reached for the klonopin just watching the clip!

You're a star Aimee. I felt so anxious watching you. I normally travel solo and the feeling when you miss flights/trains is beyond frightening on your own. Solo travel definitely helped me with my anxiety but I haven't done any form of travelling since before Covid and now I feel like I've taken 10 steps back and the thought of doing it again on my own fills me with dread. So proud of you.

I travel solo all the time and love it... but there are days where it just feels too much and I am not sure I'm capable. I can't imagine how much harder it was for you... you should be super proud that you DID that!! It's okay to never want to do that again, but hopefully if you ever had to, somewhere in the back of your brain will be a tiny voice reminding you that you've done it before. So glad you're back together again and can get through everything as a team!

As someone with a panic disorder and severe anxiety, airplane travel is its own special circle of hell. Im so so proud of you for getting through it, and being able to push through the discomfort. That is absolutely a step forward even though it may not feel like it at the moment

Aww, love you two! Dancing around the Hilton and room hysterical! I so feel for you Aimee! I travel solo often and it can be scary if something goes wrong and one feels suddenly quite alone in dealing with it. Also, flight or train connects can be the worst! When I research trains in Europe and some have a 6 min. connect and needing to locate the correct platform I'm like no way! You handled a nerve racking situation so well!

Aimee you seemed so calm in the moments immediately after realising you'd missed the flight, I'd have been all over the place not thinking properly! Really pleased you chose a hotel over the airport floor. Definitely worth it for piece of mind (let alone the amount of hours it was!) I am very excited for the Morocco vlogs to come. You guuuuys! This was so hard to watch, I felt for you both SO much! Even though Derek and I travel separately quite a bit, I can absolutely relate to the travel anxiety (especially coming out of lockdown) and seeing Craig worry so much .. ugh .. my heart ❤️❤️😭😭 Love you guys! So excited that you're back on the road and I'm sure things will be back to normal before you know it! 🥂🥂

I just read tonight that morocco is stopping all international flights and ferries because of covid developments, so guys please check out how it unfolds because i remember a campervan guy - something surfing van travel ? - who got stranded there last time they closed down. Now all over europe there are starting severe restrictions because of the new omnicron covid version, but we are still hoping to travel down to spain in jan next year and hop over to morocco, so any updates would be good for us and maybe some of your other followers.

Thanks so much for sharing this Amy! As a person who also has anxiety, you just made me feel I too can just take a deep breath and do it even when I'm feeling like I want to puke. Since we started this life almost 6 years ago, Chris and I have only spent maybe 6 nights apart, you don't realize how much you rely on the other person until you're doing something without them!
