It seems that there is a mistake in the video about working in 4K on You Tube. If you look for the X in a post by Alan N, the TeamKZfaq team says the following: _"Hi Alan, viewport refers to the dimensions of the playback area of the video. Both of them are not different if you notice, it's 1920 x 1080 * 2 on shield which is the same as 3840 x 2160 on your console. Hope this helps clarify!"_ And in that post there are other links to the NVidia forum and reddit from r/Chromecast that inform this too! that inform this too!

The reason you get a viewport is to crop the 4K display to fit the size of the launcher. This is done in all and had boxes with the exception of the Ugoos models that has the ability to display true 4K display, but what it does it makes everything on the screen very tiny. So it has to be cropped. So what is happening is that it's playing in 4K in the background cropped into either a 1080p frame.

About 14 days ago, on the Kinhank forum, the company said they made a request to Google to update the G1 firmware to Android version 12.

Thanks for the review. I bought one after a number of years of being with X96 MAX+, it did the job but suffered from overheating which caused crashes, it didn't have Google's approval, and also Android 9... After a week with the new box I am very happy. There are occasional crashes but I can't point to it being a overheat or software issues/bugs, the CPU sensor is disabled. I tried to run many files that are in both DOLBY/HDR modes. There are sometimes problems with sound that he does not know how to translate them well, in many cases the sound is not synchronized with the movie in the MX PLAYER player. I use VLC, I don't know what sound format it translates to. Some of the DOLBY ATMOS files are activated, I saw that in streaming services like AMAZON PRIME it works, DOLBY VISION+ATMOS. - I sent them an email and they replied that they know about the problems and will try to solve them in the next update, which Google is delaying its approval. - I wanted to know if I am running HDR10+ files in HDR mode, my TV has no HDR10+ message on the side. What mode does he run it on?

I have a Kinhank G1. I agree with you that the Dolby Vision / HDR and sound settings aren't properly done. Hopefully Kinhank (SDMC) will release an update to correct this. That being said, what sold the G1 for me was that it is certified (licensed) and able to play HD for KZfaq, Prime, Netflix etc. Most cheap android media players won't do that. It makes all the world of difference to be able to stream HD videos. Yes, the Ethernet isn't gigabit, and it only has USB 2... but then again, you don't need gigabit to stream 4K, and USB 3, yes, it would be nice to have, but it's not the end of the world. The G1 also has a micro SD port, which is nice to have to expand storage, although 32Gigs of main storage is pretty decent. Price-wise, it's a good deal.

In the video he only mentioned surround sound 5.1 support only when Dolby Vision is activated. My TV didn't have Dolby Vision so I will have HDR10 selected. Does this mean I won't get 5.1 surround sound audio? And how does having HDR always on affect SDR content?

Ihave found in Ali express KinHank G1 with only Amlogic S905X4 but less 25$ YOU THINK IS GOOD TO BUY or S905X4 J deserve 25 $ more ? not gonna use for gaming I have console and decent PC for gaming / its real 4 K cuz i see on Aida 64 1080 FHD ?

Aida64 does not display its resolution correctly unless it's on a mobile phone or tablet. It gets it wrong on android boxes.

Hi. Is there 5.1 audio when HDR10 is activated? In the video you only mention 5.1 audio when the Dolby Vision is activated. My TV only has HDR10 so i want to make sure it will work with my surround sound system. I can use the optical output if necessary.

Surround sound audio depends on if the video file is encoded with it. A video file can be HDR but not have surround sound audio. The box can handle 5.1 and 7.1 from self hosted videos and from Netflix and other the services.

In the future, can you please test whether the box has a powerful enough usb port by plugging in an unpowered external HDD. I've come to suspect that a fair number of them don't have enough juice running through their ports.

On each of my boxes I usually use a 1 TB M.2 SSD enclosure and they work great all the time. If you are using a motorized laptop size hard drive, or full-size HDD you will have to use the adapter cable that also has a separate adapter for it.

Sim, você pode instalar o APKpure, mas a interface pode apresentar erros ao instalar aplicativos na Android TV. Eu recomendo que você instale o AptoideTV ou a versão regular do Aptoide como a melhor opção.

Basta baixar o CoreELEC do site CoreELEC. Flash para um pen drive ou cartão SD. Abra o drive no seu PC e você verá uma pasta de árvore de dispositivos. Dentro dessa pasta, localize o arquivo SC2 S905X4 dtb. Copie o arquivo para o diretório principal e renomeie-o para dtb.img. O mesmo processo se aplica ao EmuELEC.
