Love that Max isn’t a snob. A lot of people who shop vintage will withhold their secrets to finding what they wear. Max is a true contemporary gentleman.

This video was enjoyable because of the instant gratification of trying on a bunch of outfits in one day, as opposed to waiting months for a single outfit. Also, I'd like to see Max in a pirate style shirt with voluminous ruffles at the sleeves

One of my favourite videos to date. With the cost of living as it is this proves that good clothing can still be affordable. Kirby's outfit at the start and at the end are some of the best looks I have seen on him. Max has confidence to wear the unusual and it really makes you want to experiment and wear what you like. I just wish this video was longer. Bravo 👏

Hi Kirby! It’s so good to see you shine a spotlight on Hornet’s, especially with an inevitable crunch coming. Goes to show what a well curated vintage or well maintained secondhand bespoke store can offer. They are down the road from me and I have found some stellar items there, the crown-jewel was a full length bespoke (closest to 3xl) Inverness cape in tweed with alpaca lining from Hermes Atelier. The previous owner was a local resident leaving London with no further use for it…madness! Highly recommended for some awesome finds! 😊👍🏻

Kirby, your videos are even more enjoyable when you're able to fully relax and to warm up to the situation. The excitement in your eyes when you put on that dressing gown alone would have been worth the watch. Very fun content - and quite educational for a lot of your viewers, I imagine.

Hornets is an old favourite. I used to live not far away and my partner’s grandfather had a tailors on Holland St. Don’t forget it’s in Kensington and that’s the most expensive area in an expensive city. Great shop. The hats are worth the journey. The service there is exactly what you need.

My favorite video so far. I was waiting for a thrifting video and was so pleased to watch. The reality is alot of people are on a budget but that doesn't mean you can't dress proper. Kirby your excitement really came through. I was smiling and engaged the whole time. I have personally thrifted shoes like an awesome pair of Allen Edmonds, shirts (found some Eton shirts that fit perfect) ties (Canali Burberry and beautiful old vintage ties like John Comfort) polo shirts (like Ted Baker and Lacoste) and other accesories. For those of us who cannot afford bespoke you can still dress with style and look damn good. Greetings from Newfoundland Kirby and thank you for your wonderful content

Thanks to this video, I made it a point to visit Hornets and I wasn’t disappointed at all. Key point to remember, and is fantastic advice, don’t go in with a preconceived idea of what you want. They have amazing garments if you put in the time to look. And the Italian owner was very accommodating and friendly.

Yes! This couldn’t be more true. If you’re looking for something specific, you’re guaranteed to be disappointed. But if you go not expecting to find anything - like I did - there is a good chance you’ll strike gold!

This was supremely entertaining and Kirby at his best. I hope he will do more thrift shop shows. I met Max the day after the Queen's funeral whilst I was enjoying a Cohiba cigar outside the Davidoff shop with the inimitable Eddie Sahakian. He is warm and friendly and just as you see him here in this video. Watching him on youtube with his raconteur father Nick is a real hoot. Check them out sometime.

Kirby I must say I've loved watching your videos over the last few years but this has been my favorite one yet. I think I was more excited to see those bespoke John Lobb's than you were, If they're slightly too small for you then they would probably fit me :) . Growing up loving clothes but not having much money thrift store's & eBay were my best friends, even though I'm now in my mid 20's and in a position where I have started to acquire bespoke clothing I still find a little time every once in a while to visit a thrift store here & there. Unfortunately here in Texas our thrift stores have far less Saville row suits than you may find in London, every once in a while you find a diamond in the rough.

What a super video. Kirby, for your info, the almost horizontal pockets in the trousers are actually a throwback to Edwardian England when this style of pocket was not just fashionable, but actually universal. Everyone had them from the Prince of Wales downwards. A much more natural style for putting one’s hands into, than the ‘vertical’ style more common today.

yes, Kirby and Max had a great time doing this, a few times Kirby wasn’t listening to Max and just went on and spoke over him (small interpersonal detail)But Max seems like the perfect guide here! This is a great angle to come at for bespoke pieces. Very in tune with what it happening for many folks that appreciate the quality and craftsmanship and are willing to search for a great deal!

Max looks like he walked off the set of Starsky and Hutch circa 1975. The dressing gown was a thing of beauty, good choice to buy it Kirby. Your right, the pockets on the suit trousers are just wrong, but that jacket will work with many other trousers as a separate.
