Absolutely! I think Gene and Paul were getting concerned about Peters rising popularity when he sang the best 3 songs, hands down, on Rock and Roll Over. Genes voice sucks, not sure how his vocals ever made it to the radio waves. I think that's part of what started the riff in the band. On Peter Criss' worse day he could sing Paul under the table.

Yep, Catman had by far the best voice in the band!!! They, knew it as well, but didn't want to admit it!!! Black Diamond, Hard Luck woman, and Beth are 3 of Kiss fan poll even top 5 songs, and my favorite member and amazing Peter Chriss sung all 3!!! Coincidence, I don't think so, him and Ace were absolutely the best in the band!!!!

I feel the same. Growing up in the 70s as a kid, and having KISS become the phenomenon that they were back in that decade…contributed to some of the best times of my childhood. The music, the mystique…there will NEVER be another time like that. There will NEVER be another KISS. Then, to portray Peter later in life, was literally life-changing.

Black Diamond was a Peter song and was amazing 👏 as well!!! 3 of the best Kiss songs ever were Hard Luck Woman, Beth, and Black Diamond, and look who sang them, the Catman!!!!

Technically, nobody gives a shit!!!!! Because, just like Black Diamond and Beth, all we really remember is the Catman singing the shit out of each of them!!!!!

But, little did Eric know, it would seal their fate, because a reunion tour was just solidified after this masterpiece!!!!!

That’s another of Paul’s lies. He never intended to give it to Rod Stewart (who probably wouldn’t have given Paul the time of day back in 1976). He wrote the song clearly as a ripoff of Maggie May and tries to explain it away as being written “for” Rod Stewart. Makes for a better story if he “turned it down.” Then Paul can say “it was #1 around the world.”
