RUSH toured a lot with KISS in the beginning as KISS's opening act. When later in life Geddy was asked what they learned from KISS, Geddy gives them credit with teaching RUSH about the importance of giving a great show and leaving it all on the stage for the fans no matter what. But KISS in the 70's had 2 camps. Those that loved them and those that hated them because they were too commercial. Back then Kiss stuff was on everything from Lunch boxes to kids underwear. Even had a Saturday Morning cartoon for a little while, lol. It was AWFUL, lol. But, Gene Simmons was a marketing genius.

Then I realized it was time to grow up around 35, and sold it all. He had the tumor removed in 2/91, (showed off his scar on mtv and all the metal mags and had the best sense of humor... saying he could finally out do Tommy Lee for solos, if his heart explodes during a show) then did chemo at Sloan Kettering, the video for god gave rock n roll to you, etc. his last public appearance was the mtv music awards in 10/91, with Bruce, in LA. He went back home to NY, the next day and suffered a massive aneurysm from the heart cancer. He was in a coma till his death 11/29/91, another massive aneurysm is what killed him. His cause of death, was heart cancer.

One of my best friends also went to the shoe with his parents and we met up at the show. Blondie opened. I know that because one of the songs she played was 11:59, she was promoting the Parallel Lines LP, and I loved it so much, I went to the record store, Square Records in Lancaster SC and bought the 45 with 11:59 on it , and I still have that record. I know what the data shows, but I know what I saw, I know what I bought because of the show, the very next day, and I still have that 45 in my room. I have asked my friend who it was that opened, and he said Blondie. We were both semi fans of Nantucket , we had older sisters in the same grade that were friends, and they were bigger fans. Neither of us have seen Nantucket live, but I have opened for them anf Marshall Tucker Band while playing synths for a band I was in years later. And finally, that was the only concert that I went to to see KISS, and that was the only concert I went to until I was old enough to drive to them myself, several years later, without my parents, which would have been 1982 when I got my license. It was Blondie.

I'm 55 and remember kiss being banned from playing at Richmond VA. again after they caused structural damage to the dome in the coliseum playing this song. I love how you just keep it real and have been enjoying your channels for awhile now. stay a good human and i'll do the same.

KISS is the best live show I've ever seen. If you get a chance to see them live don't miss it.

Jamel, you’ve got to watch the movie “Detroit Rock City” & of course, hear the song. The movie is a true under appreciated classic!

They never put on a bad show. They are incredible live. I saw them in Virginia Beach a few years ago and even in their 60’s they are awesome. Kiss fans are so friendly and fun to hang with.

I've got to see them in concert on several occasions. One time I went to see them in concert in the 80's with Motley Crue opening for them. My hair caught fire at the concert... True story!!!!!!! 🤘😎😎🤘🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎉🎉

The Creatures of the Night tour was my first concert, and you're absolutely correct. When this song hit, tears just rolled out of my 12 year old eyes...

I've seen them live only once, all 4 original members with makeup and it was one of the most incredible concerts I've attended

You should see them live, they still put on a good show. My mom used to drive us as teens back in the day 70s to the closest show (2 hours each way). I repaid the favor by taking her to the last show here in Atlanta. She loved it and posed with a good Gene cosplayer in the crowd. She's 82 and still a rocker.

Saw them on this tour in 83, front row! Felt the heat of the flames and the cold from the dry ice fog and the loudness of the sound system!

I saw KISS live, in the 70's. 80's. 90's, and 2000's. I've seen many famous bands, and KISS had the best live show, of them all. Hands down. Great job Jamel.

I saw KISS open for Aerosmith and wow what a great concert that was! Joe Perry was watching Kiss perform seven seats to my right/one row down.... I almost ran over to touch him.

The only time I got to see KISS was for this tour which supported the "Creatures Of The Night" album. That concert at the Louisiana Superdome was straight up wild, loud and CA-RAZEE!!!!
