Hey, Bisscute: That songs sounds familiar to you??? Maybe you have heard "Call Me", from the band Blondie. Sound very much the same and the latter is 1 or 2 years newer, from 1980 or 1981. I would say that based on the similarities, Blondie commited PLAGIARISM. You should listens to "Call Me' and compare it to this one from Kiss.

That 'act' is now over 50 years old. Still holds up today. This was performed LIVE in Melbourne AFL Football Final 2023 late September in front of 100,000 people and was very impressive.

The band originally didn't want to record this song, the record company kind of forced them to record it, so they would have a hit playing in the disco clubs. And in the end it ended up becoming one of the biggest hits of the band's career! Wonderful to see you enjoying and dancing to this song, you have a lot of good things ahead! Next react to "FOREVER" they sing UNMASKED, whit difrent Drummer and Lead Guitar... you will LOVE!

Right. I think it was Paul Stanley who said something along the lines of "when Disco showed up, we thought, that's so simple, we could write stuff like that in our sleep". Well, you could argue if simple Rock'n'Roll songs like Kiss usually did are that more complicated 😅, buy anyway, they managed to come up with a great song.

KISS is an amazing live band! Their anthem is the song "Rock N Roll all night and party every day" and I HIGHLY suggesting watching the live 1996 performance from under the Brooklyn Bridge in NY City. It really shows their style.

KISS is a special band, no doubt about it. All of them sang, all of them played instruments, all of them wrote songs for the band. I highly recommend "God of Thunder", "Detroit Rock City", and "Beth" as additional samples of their work.

Hello Bisscute, thank you for reacting to a Kiss song for the first time. I saw them once in Geneva in 1998, it was the original band back with makeup. It was fantastic. I'm pretty sure you would love the following songs : I love it loud (1982), Forever (1989), Hide your heart (1989), A world without heroes (1981), Unholy (1992), Love gun (1977), Heaven's on fire (1984) and so on... Bisscute you are doing a great job.😉

This is what we all need right now, more people like Biss who know how to just relax and have FUN. Remember fun? This one really put a smile on my face. For another (and completely different) KISS song, I'd go with "Beth". Really heartfelt vocals on that one, I think you'd enjoy it. Be well! \m/

So happy to see you like them too! I think this version was like a radio edit with bits cut out to make it shorter, I think the official studio one is slightly longer but either way it's epic. "Detroit Rock City" is one of their best so I recommend that if you want more Kiss! Thanks!

A few years back I got to hang out with Peter Criss (the drummer) and he is the nicest guy I’ve ever met. Hes my favorite vocalist in kiss so you should check out some of the songs he leads on.

I agree. The 77 Houston show was 200% what Kiss was. Great performances of Strutter, Black Diamond, Hotter than Hell, and Shout It Out Loud. Plus God of Thunder with Gene in all his 70s glory

This song was released at the height of the disco craze in the 70s, hence the disco sound. There was a lot of hoopla over a rock band "selling out" to the disco era, but it was far from it. What was expected to be the band's downfall became one of their biggest hits and just rocketed them to more success. This is one of my personal faves. I used to do it a lot at karaoke.

The rest of KISS' catalog is nothing like this, but this is still a great song & was a big hit for them. There have been many cover versions of this & samples in club music, so you probably have heard that chorus before. Some must listen KISS songs are Deuce, Black Diamond, I Stole Your Love, Detroit Rock City, Watching You, Strutter, C'mon And Love Me, Rock And Roll All Nite, Shout It Out Loud, Love Gun, Shock Me, Calling Dr Love, Ladies Room, I Want You, Take Me, Beth, Lick It Up, War Machine, I Love Loud, Heaven's On Fire, Tears Are Falling, Rise To It, Unholy, I Just Wanna, Rocket Ride, All American Man to name just a few.

This version of "I was made for lovin you" was a shortened version for the video. You may also enjoy "Sure know something" off the same Dynasty album. As for where you may have heard it before, MacDonalds are using the song in their advertising. Kiss did a wide genre of songs as they set different themes for their albums.

Was a huge Kiss fan from 1975 on...finally got to see them live when I was 16 on this "Dynasty" album tour. Was amazing, everything you would want in a rock concert. Even this song kicked ass live !

If you looking for KISS hype songs then 'Deuce', 'Shout it out Loud' and 'Rock N Roll all night' are by far their most popular in that regard. But for more Love themed song try 'Beth', 'Love Gun', 'Sure Know Something' or my personal favourite 'Magic Touch'. Overall KISS have a ton of great songs New and Old so its hard to go wrong.

They are a fun band. Great music, look and performances. This song is not a “typical” KISS song but they have dabbled in different genres through their 50 year career. I like their party songs myself, Shout It Out Loud, Rock And Roll All Night, I Love It Loud, just to name a few. I also enjoy the softer songs like Beth and Forever. They have loads of great tunes.

You really loved that. I saw you feeling it all. For me, I played It often when I lived and worked in Bangkok in the 1990s. Love blew my mind at the time. I saw then live in 1992 and loved all their tracks. I was made for living you so memorable.

KISS was my first concert back in 78… I was 6 and had front row tickets… Gene (bass player) spit blood all over me and I’ve been in the KISS Army ever since!! As far as songs to listen to… this one is their “Disco” song… do you want a more classic rock kinda vibe or pop… or do you want more metal??!! They kinda did it all! Classic rock: Hotter than Hell Firehouse Cold Gin Nothin to Lose Going Blind Love Gun Shock Me Calling Dr Love Christine Sixteen 100,000 Years I Love it Loud Hard Luck Woman Pop: Forever Lick it Up God Gave Rock n Roll to You Let’s put the X in Sex I Just Wanna Crazy, Crazy Nights Metal(ish): Unholy Domino (pop metal) Parasite Almost Human God of Thunder The list can go on and on… but this is a start! ❤️

in the early 80's to mid 90s, they droped the make up and costumes ('tears are falling' from 1985 is a good example) and in 1995, they brought back the make up and costumes and stayed that way ever since.

A few years ago Kiss did an MTV Unplugged concert with several of their songs. The best song was Rock and Roll Al Nite. I would like you to see it on this channel. There they don't wear makeup but they have a lot of attitude. Thank you

Thanks for the smiling reaction. Back in the 1970's they were one of my favorite bands. They toured twice a year back then. I saw them 9 times in a 5 year period. The first show I went to a General Admission ticket was $8 (1975), and the last show G.A. was $20 (1979).

Ahhh, what a repertoire Kiss has. Even though many fans don't gravitate towards this song, it was this album (Dynasty) that motivated me to begin learning their songs on guitar when I was a child. Really enjoyed your vid, subbed, and recommend their song, "Love Gun."

I went to a Halloween party years ago, dressed as one of the Kiss members. Had on a big wig, all the makeup (took my wife an hour to put it on me!), and the right clothes. I had added 6in soles on my boots, and made a fake wooden guitar. We stopped to get some beer for the party and when I went in the whole store just stopped and stared. LOL I think some of them actually thought I was one of the band members. My best friend didn't even recognize me when I walked into the party. I have a picture somewhere from that night.
