KISS always put on a show! This performance is normal for a KISS concert. Always react to the original KISS in makeup and live and you’ll never be disappointed.

Watched KISS in Colorado several years ago and they were going to fine the band thousands of dollars if they played past a certain time. They were rocking it out and Paul Stanley said he would write the city a check and they kept rocking. A member of the Kiss Army ever since.

Fun fact: there is no solo in the original studio version of the song. However it was the Live version off of Kiss Alive that became a radio hit, no the studio version. So that live version with the guitar solo became so iconic that not even the guitarist (Ace) himself realized that the original was without a solo.

As a 24 year old seeing Kiss for the first time live a few months ago was easily the greatest show I've ever seen live 👏🙏 My first time being out to a show since Covid since it started to calm down and it was such an amazing vibe being around everyone and seeing everyone have such a great time being back was nothing short of amazing 👏👍🙏

Except that as people, one had a huge drug addiction and would kiss rehearsal, and the other was an alcoholic who would smash equipment and get violent with the other members. Also the 2 who replaced them have been in the band longer than they were

People always say that KISSand clown makeup-but I'm forever trying to tell people that it's a good band with real talent and awesome music. I have seen KISS six times and loved them since I was 7

I was at that performance and soon as they hit that first cord it seems like all the oxygen in the crowd was depleted I had to stand down on my knees for several seconds to get my breath back!

I always loved just how rough and Gravely jeans voice was for this particular performance. I don't know the particulars of where they were at on tour or whatever, but his voice sound narley in a great way. I do remember watching this in real-time back in the day. Televised worldwide. HAM

It was Live Under The Brooklyn Bridge. They were kicking off there tour. The concert coincided with the Mtv Music Awards Show.

@@David-yo5re yeah, I remember seeing it at the time, I think I even have it on VHS tape somewhere cuz I recorded it off the air. I just didn't remember Gene sounding quite so gnarly, perhaps he was sick. By the time I saw them on the reunion tour his was probably the strongest voice on stage, and it seemed like the set was kind of leaning towards his material perhaps to accommodate whatever Voice issues were happening with Paul and Ace

Paul and Gene were asked in an interview how much their boots cost to have them made? Pauls were like 25 to 30 thousand but Genes were like 75 to 115 grand.

I believe, Paul once called this song "The Rock and Roll national anthem", and it IS. I saw them once in 1980 here in Germany. The supporting band was an unknown (back in 1980 at least) band called Iron Maiden. You guessed it- I had the fun of my life...

Another great show at the Brooklyn Bridge was U2 awhile back, they road around on a flatbed in Manhattan, playing to crazy crowds trying to keep up before rolling over the bridge to the stage underneath for a killer show. Check it out, they were on fire there. The Rolling Stones also did the flatbed around NYC several decades ago. Enjoy! 🎸

For wild rock by them, "King of the Night Time World", "Shock Me" by Ace, 100,000 years with Paul singing. Then Peter has one called "Hard Luck Woman". Lots of good stuff that hasn't been heard by many.

I know you mentioned the guitar solo, There wasn't a guitar solo on the original recording they added it to the live preformances after the record came out and it's been this guitar solo ever since then. Also the guitar Paul smashes during the live shows is a cheap copy of the guitars he plays but it's all part of their show. The wanted to be the band everyone of them wished they could see and set the bar high for other bands to live up to.

This is from the 90s Reunion Tour. Great show they did that night. I stopped following KISS because to me, KISS was Gene, Paul, Ace and Peter.
