How about build a whole giant for a fraction of the cost of the Games Workshop kit, using a McDonalds toy as a base?! These giants or ogres look awesome and can be used for any wargame or RPG - be it Age of Sigmar, The Old World, Frostgrave, Dungeons & Dragons or whatever you like!

Incredible how just a few GW bits can take a solid base model with simple craft items and make it fit perfectly in the range.

Very nice job! What a great idea to use Happy Meal toys for conversions, the result is very convincing as an AoS proxy.

Emiliano here. If I had a nickel for every time one of my works ispired a KZfaq video, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice. Right? The other one was the gelatinous cube by DMScotty.

This is a very, very cool idea! I already have an idea for taking one of the new Bandai King Ceasar figures--which have shite paint jobs--and repainting it into a better presentation of the character, and this is giving me ideas as to what else I can do in this realm. Good video!

Full Battle Beast collection (weapons with all of Series 1, but only a couple of Series 2 or 3 weapons), only one Laser Beast though. Yes, a video tour might be worth doing at some point if I can move my 3D printer to somewhere else so I can tidy a bit more!

@@AtticRaidersRetroReviews Cool! A tour would be great. I believe I had most of the Series 1 battle beasts in my childhood, lots of nostalgia around them anyway, I still clearly remember the battle beasts toy commercial, though collecting them now isn't something i'm overly interested in doing given my expensive collecting of everything classic Traveller and citadel miniatures from the 80s, but great to see your battle beasts collection in the background.

"Today, we're going to improve the design of this mcdonalds toy. First thing we're gonna do is take the easy way out and replace the head with a Warhammer head." Although you did an amazing job, it feels like you're cheating by replacing things instead of actually trying to improve the thing itself.

Agreed - I didn't like the head covering either when I first applied it, but I figured I had to cover up the sculpted forehead strap otherwise it would really annoy me. I think the head piece turned out OK in the end though.

It never fails to amaze me what modelers can do with cheap toys, combined with a well-stocked bitz box and a few sundry household items. This is an excellent piece that would look well in a game or on a display shelf! Thanks for sharing this; both for your techniques, and the inspiration! 479th like.

He looks so good, great job painting! The priming step is always my favorite with both conversion and terrain because that's when you can really see how it all comes together. Agreed. I convert and kitbash a lot and priming is definitely a Magic step. I also drybrush as part of my underpainting, and that's magic too because so much stuff suddenly pops.

My local game store has a Kings of War league (mantic games) where kitbashing and proxies as well as scenic basing is encouraged by the game developer and celebrated by the players. A fun kitbash or proxy is seen as a mark of pride in that community. I wish the Warhammer crowd was similar
