In this video I complete the kitchen build and do some extra bits and pieces hence the title of Odd's and Sod's. Thanks for watching as always and comment down below what you think of the build and any questions... cheers!

OMG Did I have fun and games with Lidl when we bought our Sharp 24" TV (the one you featured here). The advert from Lidl said it came with two plugs, one for 12v and one for 240v. When I got it home, there was only one 240v plug and no mention on the table of contents. So I called Lidl who suggested I talked with Sharp. Sharp assured me that the 240v adapter (which is AC to DC....) would work on 12v. I argued and argued with them about it and said that they (the person on the phone) didn't understand electrics at all. Anyway - turns out that the 12v cable is an optional extra which can be purchased from a Sharp recommended 3rd party. Very irritating, but Lidl did send us some vouchers as compensation!.

I'm annoyed about the vouchers, I will try that. To be honest, when I found the cable was missing I just ordered one from ebay for £6.99 because could not be arsed with the hassle but I will send wifey back to Lidl for a scrap, she loves that sort of thing.... thanks for watching and commenting.

@@wiltshirecustomcamper7203 The thing that annoyed me about the whole performance was, in the Lidl ad it quite clearly said there were two cables. I wanted Lidl to honour the ad not fob me off. I got there in the end though ;)

Thanks for the video and a big thanks for sharing your van build series, for me it has been very useful for my van build and also quite entertaining. Can you tell me what your van weighed at the end of the build? What payload did you end up with for you and the family? My build is similar to yours so I am wondering if I am going to get any unwanted surprises come the end.

I wasn't shy with some of the materials and it now stands at 3.7t, but I did up-plate to 4.6t so have 900kg to play with. I think any LWB (L4) van needs up-plating as it is so difficult to get it under 3.5t to any really useable degree.

Love your sense of humour. Van is looking great, waiting to see more about the seats. Probably you'll have to switch the v5 and then the insurance, but do you have to get them tested first?

Really enjoying your build and those video's are coming thick and fast. Well done! I'm mid way through a Ducato self build. The latching button on the outside of your kitchen unit, for the light, does fit through the furniture board? Mine doesn't, only about 12mm deep.

mine doesn't either, nothing a blob of gorilla glue on the back did not fix though. I enlarged the hole at the rear so the plug comes on and off OK and then glued around the threads onto the furniture board. hope that helps.

Hi again WCC. Watching all your vids, really good. Am "popping" over to collect some boards from Midland this coming week then on to Jackson's leisure (Bromborough, Wirral) for awning and shower tray etc. Also going to Saniclad which is just a stone's throw from Jacksons. 3 birds with one stone. Can I ask you, what thickness Saniclad did you use ? They have 3 thicknesses to choose from.

I had the 3mm as wifey wanted good 'sturdy' stuff, in hindsight I would go for 2mm if I did it again as the 3mm has a bit of weight to it. I think the 1mm is too flimsy for the purpose, but that's just my opinion. I dealt with David at Midlands, very helpful!

Following your project with great interest from Canada! Did you show, somewhere in your videos, how you built the raised floor between the front seats and the second seat behind them? I am interested in how you made the white curved wall under it. That's funny: I just finished an eight year project in building a caravan and I spent more time thinking than making... I expect to do the same in my van build project!

I did not film the build of the raised platform as it is just made from CLS timber or what you may refer to as 3x2 lumber, sorry not sure if Canada is stuck in Imperial land or you've moved onto metric, if so I used 63cmx38cm :-). it was then covered with 12mm plywood. the white piece around the curve is actually from an off-cut of the white 3mm ply ceiling board. it is thin enough to bend around the shape and screwed at each end. worked out quite well really. thanks for watching and for he comment.

@@wiltshirecustomcamper7203 Well, we are metric in Canada for fifty years now but lumber products are still identified by their imperial denomination, so we say a 2x4 lumber or a 4x8 sheet of plywood... Thank you for your response!

:-) , Did not mean any offence and thanks for the non van related nugget of knowledge. I have been watching 'The Humble Road' channel and watching him measure in Imperial and cutting things to 3 and an eighth and things like seems really hard work. Yet my car does miles per hour and I buy a pound of apples! weird mixed up world....
