I wish you had gotten more views and comments on this video. You guys did an amazing I hope job. I’d do this myself if I could find someone’s parents to borrow😁 You’re so lucky to have parents that were willing to do this with/for you. Keep going with the videos. Try to find subjects that are super popular right now. Like fall decorating and DIYs. You should do another aged stone video on… cheap foam pumpkins? I think they would look cool. And I haven’t seen anyone else doing anything like that. Imagine how cute they’d be on a porch, entryway table or next to a fireplace. I hope you try it. Take care🌸

BEAUTIFUL JOB! I am looking for some good videos to show a friend how important the prep work is!!! Your video nails it on on the reasons why 😘😘😘 … gorgeous results and I love that you reused as much as you could. 🌱 🌎 ❤️ … my only question… when are you taking the plunge on the lower cabinets? I’m anxious to see your finished kitchen after all the projects you listed… motivate me to get back to my renovation from hell. lol

Thank you!!!! Good prep and good products are NECESSARY!!!!! Otherwise all that hard work is right down the drain. Happy to say our tops are still virtually flawless. As for the bottom, we actually just finished them in April. Almost a year and half later 😅😅😅 nobody ever said DIY was quick or easy. Now it's just finishing touches with faucets and lights and all that for me! Good luck with your reno!!! You can do it!!!!!

You can prime over the vanish without stripping it. BIN instructions state that it sticks to all surfaces without sanding. That would save you a lot of time. Buy a drying rack.

Agree and disagree! I don't think we needed to strip every nook and cranny, but this varnish was peeling and flaking pretty bad. I just didn't trust it to hold well, especially somewhere high traffic like a kitchen. A year later and our cabinets are still PERFECT, so I have no regrets about going the extra mile for that added insurance. Drying rack sounds like a great idea!

What sheen is this? The can says satin but you wrote semi gloss elsewhere in the video. Just curious!

Good catch!! You threw me for a loop there, so I went to hunt down my leftover cans. I did indeed use semi-gloss for the white kitchen cabinets: Pure White, Semi-Gloss, Sherwin Williams Emerald Urethane Trim Enamel. I chose semi-gloss because it is not recommended to go more matte than semi-gloss for a high-touch area like the kitchen. Glossier paints are more durable, resistant to scratches, easier to clean, hides fingerprints, etc. Satin would be too matte and compromise durability. The can at 4:36 is indeed satin - it's the same product but in a different color and sheen that I was using on some furniture projects. It was still a clean, unopened can so I filmed that can instead of the messy paint-splattered kitchen can and totally forgot to point out the difference!
