Some good practices there big man 👏👏 Our manufacturer also do the separate solid sink panel but I remove it now (fortunately they make the unit with vertical front and rear rails) as I had two bad experiences with undermount sinks that required removing to either be resealed or replaced and it was a nightmare getting them out because of that panel. I now set up a frame with 25x50 to support the undermount sink and make sure it can all be accessed from inside the unit, just in case🤞

I used to do the exact same thing with those above fridge type cabs, probably most of us one man band do I guess! Some of them will still be there to one the ones where I did a full bulkhead and cornice to ceiling 😜 Stan the Stan stands for wall cabs above worktops 👍🏻. And some home made jigs for holding doors and panels. I used to do that same trick too with the Integrated D/w and fridge panels 👍🏻 Give it a real good smack off the concrete on the corner in the box… you get your money and the snagging / odd job man can fit it later…. I’m on to you Delboy! 😜😂

Good video cracking work one I like to do is put in rails above appliances just make a 150mm by 602 Rail normally just use a offcut from end panel so it's matching in with kitchen and kreg screw it in just find it keeps the gap consistent
@thetallcarpenter

That's a great way to set the appliance gap David, and coincidentally, this kitchen company supplies a 600mm shelf, drilled with pocket holes for exactly that👊Other than that I usually pin a bit of door stop front and back at the right to distance to position an end/divider panel👍I should really get a Kreg jig🤔Thanks for watching 😎 Cheers Del

Fitted dishwasher always a worry. All dishwashers seem to last about as long as it takes to fit them. Mine is just a free standing 600. Good job because I am on my third in 15 years. I get lots of calls to pull out and replace the things. The fitted ones never seem to be direct replacements.

Thanks for another fantastic video. A question if I may? The electrician has fitted the sockets behind the integrated appliance. I’m worried the appliance may not fit as I’ve been told that the sockets should never go behind an integrated appliance as this doesn’t allow the appliance to go all the way to the back. Is this correct?
@thetallcarpenter
@thetallcarpenter Жыл бұрын
Hi there🖐Its highly unlikely that your integrated appliances will go all the way back if there is an outlet with a plug behind them😬We ALWAYS put the outlet/socket in an adjoining unit and feed the appliance plug/lead up into it👍Hope this helps😎Cheers Del

Question for you, cupboard doors with soft close. They are supplied with rubber bumpers on the inside to cushion the close to the carcass - but they always come off.
