I have had a dream of living in New England since the 80s so it is interesting and fun for me to listen to your experience as a newcomer to the area. I'm also very involved in genealogy and am so interested in finding out more about how you and Linda might be related. Fascinating that your friend did the genealogy for you that led you to finding ancestors's graves. I don't believe in coincidence and believe life is a tapestry of interwoven connections present and past which we often fail to understand or recognize until we actually pursue them. I love your kitchen…and your windows are open! I’ve long since given up on that here in the Siuth (north Georgia). The high today is expected to be 102 with 97% humidity 😰 Love the copper hood, the greenery over the door (laundry room?), and the ceiling. I have that same ceiling 😊

Coming over from Linda's channel. I am a true fan girl after recently finding her channel. I am a southerner born and bred but I too felt the pull to New England. I found out that my ancestor, Samuel Aborn(e) testified on behalf of Rebecca Nurse! While I will be staying in Alabama, I did visit Vermont, Upstate New York and Mass ten years ago. I hoped to make it back to Maine but Covid intervened. Love your home, it is so cozy and welcoming. I just subscribed!!

Your kitchen is charming and lovely and really looks like an old world English cottage kitchen …good job. I met Linda quite by serendipity …we happened to be in the same antique store in Peterborough, and I recognized her voice right away! She was just as nice as can be, but she probably thought I was a crazy lady because I told her I was her biggest you tube fan!! I often wonder if some of the kindred spirits here in the Monadnock area would be interested in meeting for lunch and shopping in some of the delightful vintage shops we have…what do you think? Welcome - I am a NH native and currently own a 1790 Federal home here in NH. I love my Federal and it fits the NH lifestyle as it replaced the English Georgian style as the new Country was developing its own style - one that was more simple, practical and demonstrated the Yankee mentality. At that time they would also look more to France than England for style ideas.

Are you sure the step stringers aren't upside down? The steps are higher than the part you step on and it should be the other way around.
