What a beautiful and well-made mixer! I'm currently on a $500 stipend for college, but once I start doing Instacart, I'm pulling the trigger on one of these for sure! I'm definitely getting it in the Empire Red too! It'll look great in my apartment! You can see my enthusiasm from all the exclamation marks LOL!

Thanks Amy, I called Kitchenaid, and according to them, the bowls will fit. I ordered the mixer, it will take about 2 weeks. I really hope I love it cause its very expensive. My 6oo is so noisy, plus when I double cake or cookie recipes, it struggles. I bake about 10-14 different cookies for Christmas and then give them as gifts, and let me tell you, my machine works really hard, but everyone loves them and they are so happy. I had given up baking bread because it used to shut down. I did not want to burn it out. I just want this to be a little easier. At 67 years old, and bad back problems, I need all the help I can get. So I love to watch you and all your mixers and pans, you make my day. Have a good one.

I just bought a refurbished commercial 8 for doing bread. I broke the gears on my classic making my two 2-pound loaves of whole wheat every week. It has always struggled, and I’m truly amazed it didn’t break sooner! I absolutely love the commercial! It didn’t even hiccup when I made this week’s batch. I’ll fix the classic and keep it for smaller things, but I expect the commercial will be my workhorse from now on. Thanks for the awesome unboxing!

The pro line 7 qt. and the commercial 8 qt. KitchenAid have a DC motor while the other mixers, including the pro 600, have AC motors. The AC motors produce the noise. The motor and transmission on the pro line and commercial KitchenAid is one unit or a "modular" set up. If they need to be replaced they are replaced together as one unit. The motors and transmissions (or gears) on the other models are replaced separately. Thought we would share this information as we did a lot of research on our pro line before we bought it.

Some of them I've watched a few times!🤣 Just impressed by how many you owned these gorgeous machines, and all of them kinda have a different personalities. I just want to know how you choose to use any them on your daily life? I' have 5K5SS for more than 20 years and still worked as good as the day I got it and it seems it 's not gonna have any problems at all and I don't think I will got a chance to change it in this lifetime😅I wish I can have more like yours but mine worked just fine with all my cooking that I've no reason to get another. But really love watching your videos with all of them in your kitchen and great reviews too. Your video really fun to watch and your fun hubby is great too. Greetings!💗💗💗

Hi Amy, Love the video! I have the Classic, the Ultra Power series and the Pro 6 but this one will be next on my list. I like that it is more quiet than the Pro 6 which can be very loud indeed. My Pro 6 can kneed bread with no problem and I used it this year to make 7 Fruit Cakes (the good ones that take 6 weeks to ferment and than make) which can be a very thick dough like batter with no worries. Thanks for the information on this Commercial KitchenAid Mixer.

The 5 quart bowl on my KitchenAid Pro 5 Plus will work with my Commercial 8 perfectly. So the bowl from a Pro 600 should also work on the Proline 7, since both the Commercial 8 and Proline 7 share the same chassis.

Amy, not sure if you're still replying to questions on this video, but I'm wondering if you've tried the KitchenAid 7 quart pro mixer and, if so, what you think of it. I have the Bosch Universal Plus, which I really like for large batches of bread dough. What I don't like is the post in the middle of the mixing bowl, because it makes scraping batters out of the bowl a pain and it makes folding ingredients (for angel food or sponge cakes) impossible. Do you have the KA 7 quart pro in your collection?

I would go look at it and see the condition. It is a great price but it could be beat up. Run it and listen to the motor. Make sure it sounds ok and doesnt get hot or miss speeds. Also see how clean it is particularly in the cracks and crevices. This will be an indication that it was heavily used and not cared for. Do you know the person who is selling it or is it just a random seller?

Hi Amy... At approx 8:41 on this video...i am looking at the KSM8990ER slightly slanted FORWARD...WHY is that? And HOW do you get the bowl to sit STRAIGHT, without FORCING it. Mine also came that way...but the ss bowl is VERY hard to set on. Goes on fine only on one side. The other side is harder to notch up the holes. Is this mixer SUPPOSED to be that way??
@AmyLearnsToCook
@AmyLearnsToCook 8 жыл бұрын
+Barbara Smith There is a metal piece in the back that the bowl has to be pushed under in order for it to lock into place and be level. The bowl should sit on the two side posts on the arms and then be snapped under the metal piece. In the video, I hadn't pushed it under it so the bowl was leaning forward.
@MyArielMusic

+AmyLearnsToCook : Thanks Amy... But do i really have to FORCE down so hard on it and does it get easier with wear? Also... Even the cone shaped-posts don't line up EXACTLY with the holes on the bowl...i also have to FORCE it back (on one side), in order for BOTH holes to line up exact. Only one goes on without a hitch. Is this "normal"/ Standard procedure? Are ALL KA mixers like that?? Or just the 8 QT? (Never owned one before but we got one because hubby wants to get a machine that could handle tough jobs ie KNEADING the dough for him when he makes homemade pizza dough. Maybe in one of your videos you could SHOW us exactly how to put this on even if you struggle a bit... so that the public can SEE it actually being done (by you) , so that those that buy one of these, don't get too freaked out by it and think their KA is defective. Since the unveiling of your unit... I have not been able to see any other NEW youtube videos, of yours...did i miss them? Or have you just not gotten around to it? By the way... Have you made a PIZZA DOUGH here on youtube with your stand mixer? If so...can you post for me here the link? ty

+Barbara Smith I think I have to force it down a little but it is not too bad. My goal is to shoot a video using it on Sunday so I will see how hard it is to push the bowl down. I've only used the mixer once since I bought it so off hand I am not sure...my other KA mixers are not too hard to get the bowl on. I've done a couple videos since I unboxed the KA Commercial. I recently did a test between the KA Artisan 5 quart and the Breville mixer. You should be able to find them using the second tab on the main page of my channel that says videos. I've posted a pizza dough recipe but it was using the bread machine. I haven't made it in a mixer yet...I plan to so I will let you know how it comes out.

Yes, the hubs are all the same. Of course, only the motor power is different between the models (i'd be scared to use the grain crusher attachment on the 4.5 because it'd likely burn up that motor, but it would fit). KA even has a live chat to help you with these questions. Can you believe that?
