Considered a "lost" Columbia cartoon, this is one of the last cartoons made before the Screen Gems animation studio closed in the late 1940's. Directed by Sid Marcus

Very nice. Sounds like a Darrell Calker music score. He went to Columbia for a while when the Lantz studio closed down around 1948.

Actually, he moved to Columbia in 1947 after he finished his final scores at Lantz's studio that same year.

Columbia pulled the plug on the studio in 1946 before Lantz temporarily closed his studio.

I get that Hope & Crosby were avid golfers, but weren't they at Paramount? Did Columbia have no actors who liked to golf under contract?

What about The 3 Stooges. Did they like golf in real life?

@@RingoandCarlin I agree, Moe Larry & Curly would have fit better in this cartoon, since they were Columbia contract players, but since Bing Crosby & Bob Hope were better known for being golfers, it probably made more sense to include them. Moe, Larry, & Curly would have destroyed the whole golf course like they did in the short "Three Little Beers". By 1947, Curly was slowed down by a massive stroke, and Shemp Howard would have been part of the Stooges if they were in this cartoon.

@@robertorick6383 I like that idea that they wreck the whole golf course.
