Daniel, a pond owner wrote in with a question on his newly cleaned pond. He's already getting algae and wondering how to treat it. Hydrogen peroxide, pond dye, and beneficial pond bacteria are discussed as well as helpful pond plants.

We have about a 3/4 of an acre pone. We have tons of fish and do not want to drain it. What do you suggest for a leak? We have cut down the trees and believe water has leveled out to the low . Thank you for your help

I would consider bentonite clay. But there are other options too. Here's a short article from Penn State Extension that may help. extension.psu.edu/fixing-a-leaking-pond

Channel admins are the only ones that should be able to post a link in a comment, the reason being, to reduce spam on this channel. I'm all about helping people, but won't allow spam links on here (nor will youtube)...not saying yours is, but there are many bot programs that hammer the comments on blogs and on youtube, which is why YT has had to do this I assume. I used to use it...but really only for small ponds, which I don't work with as much anymore. I think for the money you are just as well off looking for dried barley bales. For larger ponds, pellets have been easier to work with.
