Hi everyone, I know it took me nearly 6+ months to finally film this video but better late than never right?... haha I did however send a short video to a lot of followers/subscribers in the meantime that were confused on how to install this gear indicator on the 2022 kawasaki klx300sm but I've finally filmed and edited the entire video for the whole world (of klx300/klx250 riders) to view! haha thanks for watching, ride safe! =)

Thanks for the video. I got mine all set up about a month ago. I used the “tips” from others on which wire to tap into. I chose the green/yellow (third pin out) from ecu. Everything works as it should, but my battery drains overnight if I don’t keep it on trickle. I will definitely be changing the wire connection tonight. Thanks again.

After stalling THREE times, in slow moving traffic, with wife on the back, finally realising I was in 2nd and trying to hold the bike upright due to wife shaking uncontrollably with laughter (🤮🤬) I’ve just put one on my K5 GSXR. Have to say, I absolutely love it! Never felt such a noob in all my life that day 🤦🏻‍♂️🤣

But at the light it will not show the gear i, ones u apply the clutch the screen only shows the dash

Used the Healtech indicator for 20k+ miles, summer and winter, never had a problem.

Appreciate the video. I get a check engine light when installing, any suggestions? Also, did you have to connect the short red and black wire to another ground/power wire behind the headlight?? Maybe that is my problem.

I love mine. 2024 KLX300 -- Installation was a breeze. The only down side is its so visible that the LCD dash looks like crap.

Hi, see the connector you used on the head light which wire on the gear indicator did you tap into on the head light and what color was that one on the connector. Understand the rear connection thanks.

Hey man might not be up to date on your videos did you end up tuning the bike when you got the exhaust? The Bike seems to run a bit lean from the factory when looking at the spark plug

HealTech makes a great product. Once you’ve ridden bikes with gear indicators, going to one that doesn’t have one it just seems silly to me. A cheap fix 👍🏻

I think Kawasaki saw your videos because they made the 2023 klx300 the same color yellow, only instead of black number plate above headlight it's yellow.

Greetings to you i have the same bike just 2023 and went ahead and bought the indicator from the link you mentioned and installed it pretty fast thanks to your video, my problem is that when i hold the clutch like for example at the light then it does not show the gear only when im driving it shows as soon as i hold the clutch it just shows that dash , is this normal ? Or i did something wrong ?

No, you installed it correctly. the bike has to be in gear with the clutch out for it to register the gear

noticed in some of your videos you have 2inch crg mirrors and in others you have 3inch. looking to get rid of stock mirrors, 2 inch looks better but was it really that bad in terms of vision that you needed to up it to the 3 inch? just wondering, thanks.

2” looks great and does a decent job if you’re pretty good about head checking. 3” gives you more view and is closer to an OEM mirror size

Looks like the green & black wire is too short on mine to reach back to the ECU? Did you have that problem?

I got the GPX-K02 which Healtech's website said is compatible with the KLX300, so I don't know why it's so short. It's unfortunate that the supplied instructions don't even mention the KLX.

No mine had more than enough length, I actually tied up some extra wire into the bike itself
