Probably not. The Km100 is weak on the European vehicles due to the fact that when your doing an all keys lost scenario , the km100 doesn't have the circuit schematics to connect when you have to take the module and put it on the bench. You have 2 strategies: You can save your money and just get the im508 with the xp400 , this way you will have more capabilities to solve more problems. Or you can just purchase the km100 and be strategic on what vehicle you are working . When you make enough money then you can purchase the im508 and xp400

@ScottSeabrook Both the KM100 and the Key Tool Max can unlock smart keys. I have used both to do it. I don't use adapters; I use the renewing cable and solder the wires to the proper places on the remote's circuit board.

What I observed from the many complaints Autel buyers has is that they are limited with the amount of information you get online. So the risk is alot higher because you will only really know until after you make a purchase. What I did to solve this problem is offer a service to consult the client on what the tool can and cant do . This way they get all the information they need in order to make an educated decision. Alot of time when people book the consultation , they tool they had in mind really wasnt a good fit for them. So what I suggest is to just make sure if you cant get all the information you need, the supplier needs to have a good return policy if you find the tool not to meet your expectations

Hello, Let me explain: When the im508 came out it didnt support this function . When the Km100 came out they later added the universal key option on the im508 . However you must have the XP400 in order to use this feature. So in summary if you purchase the im508 alone , you wont be able to use it that feature as you need the xp400.

I've generated dealer keys using aftermarket keys in the past. It can be done from my recollection. I can't recall a specific instance but with a few years of doing this full time I do know it's been done but also there's so much more to do in this industry as I'm just hitting the tip of the iceberg currently. Never feel comfortable in the place that one thinks they know it all as when that happens someone will come along and knock you off ur pedestal. Someone like Curtis as he has taught me a wealth of knowledge in the short time I've been checking out his videos. Remember everyone there's always room for a few in the automotive diagnostic, repair, key programming, programming and locksmith space. Hello, unfortunately, I dont offer free solutions. If you want me to check and give you clarity and my professional opinion, then you would need to book. It will save you money because most people who dont get consulted end up buying the wrong tool and then they waste time and money trying to figure out which one is right for them.

What I would do in that situation is log in and have the client do the procedure again. I would record the session and submit the data logging for the Engineers to see what the core issue is. . Try to contact your supplier or Autel New York and have them follow that framework to find out what the problem is.

Ok, I finally got the keys programmed to the 2017 Chrysler 200, if you generate a unervisaral key with the km100 for a 2017 Chrysler 200 it will give you a hitag2(ID46) for immobilizer type which is wrong, so that's why the key wasn't working. After hours of researching, I found the 2017 Chrysler 200 immobilizer was a hitag aes(ID4A). I was only able to find that key setup under 2011 dodge charger, after generating a key for the 2011 dodge charger, the km100 program keys successfully to the 2017 Chrysler 200.
